In the room, Caspian sat upright in his chair.
He braced his hands on his knees, his knuckles curled. His gaze focused on Luo Qiu's face for a moment, then quickly shifted back to the ground.
"Detective Luo, I admit that I followed Derek, but his death has nothing to do with me."
"About a week ago, Derek started acting suspiciously, as if he was plotting something. Once, I was walking down the hallway and I overheard him and Mr. Carter talking quietly by the coffee machine, mentioning the phrase '50,000 kroner'."
