After the girl and the curses left, Taiichiro stared at Ron in astonishment.

“How can you let them leave? Don’t you know their nature? They have been hostile to humans since birth. How can they be eliminated so quickly? We must let them resolve this hostility, otherwise we will only be making things difficult for ourselves.”

Ron shook his head and said.

"But can we kill them all? There are so many of them, and their power is so great. Moreover, with the girl interfering in the middle, it won't be easy to get rid of them."

Moreover, I've heard that some of the original cursed formations reside in the mountains and forests. If even they appear, our situation might become even more difficult.

Taiichiro frowned deeply.

"But are we just going to let them leave like this? Did they ever give those humans who died at their hands a chance?"

Ron fell silent. He now truly understood that his actions hadn't reassured the humans. But he also knew that he was doing this simply to prevent the conflict from escalating to a more extreme point.

After all, the cursed beings now have a faith, they have their own creator, which makes them more cohesive and more terrifying.

If we insist on eliminating them, their counterattack might be very powerful.

Very few people in the human camp possess such power, and even they might not be a match for those curses.

Throughout the journey, Taichiro kept telling Ron that he shouldn't let the curses go, as this was their closest chance to victory, but Ron gave up this opportunity.

Ron shook his head helplessly.

"That's not an opportunity, it's just a chance to escalate the war. If we really attack them then, it will likely turn them into true adversaries with humanity, and then we will have no chance to mediate."

Sure enough, in the time that followed, the girl and the curses stopped attacking humans. Instead, they seemed to have gathered in one place and were constantly building those structures.

Every time Ron and Taichiro went to investigate, they found them to be very well-behaved.

On this day, while Ron was cultivating, someone suddenly knocked on the door.

Ron opened the door, only to find a curse standing outside.

Ron immediately became alert, staring at his opponent, ready to fight at any moment, while Curse maintained a smile and spoke to Ron.

"Our Queen invites you."

"Queen?"

Ron was stunned.

He was stunned for a moment before he realized that the girl had actually called herself a queen and started to rule the cursed world.

After tidying his clothes a bit, Ron followed the curse to the castle where the girl was. To his surprise, the castle had already taken shape in a short time.

Ron saw the castle from the outside, and its magnificent appearance shocked him. Led by the curse, Ron entered the castle, and the scene inside was even more breathtaking.

The castle was surrounded by gold and jade, and was supported by four huge stone pillars in the middle, making the whole castle very stable. Even the materials used were very precious.

After passing through the winding corridors and entering the main hall, Ron looked up and saw the girl sitting in the main hall.

She was dressed in fine clothes and looking down. When she saw Ron, a smile appeared on her face. Then she quickly walked down and said to Ron.

"Look at the kingdom I've built! Aren't you amazed?"

It's hard to believe that Ron, who was once an enemy, now seems like an old friend to the young girl.

Ron smiled and said.

"That's truly impressive, but I wonder how you managed to do it in such a short time?"

The girl said with a smile.

"Don't underestimate the power of these curses. They are tireless and incredibly strong, capable of lifting several tons with ease. Using them to build these structures is simply amazing."

The girl then showed Ron around the castle.

Just then, a curse came to report.

“A whole host of curses are helping those humans build structures.”

This was exactly what the girl had instructed. Ron was greatly relieved when he heard this, never expecting that the curse could actually coexist peacefully with humans.

Having achieved this, Ron believed that his initial decision was correct.

The girl said to Ron.

“After you left, I kept thinking about why we had to go against humanity. Humanity was indeed very unfair to me, and I did harbor resentment towards them.”

But so many years have passed, and the resentment from back then has long since faded. Moreover, I've seen that some people have been very friendly to us, so I've started to change my perspective.

Ron nodded and said.

“I’m so happy that you’ve made this change, and we can be friends.”

After visiting the castle, the girl took Ron to see the scenes where the curses were used to do things for humans.

Ron saw it all and felt very gratified and happy; it was the first time in so many years that he had been so happy.

After saying goodbye to the girl, Ron was on his way back when Taiichiro suddenly appeared, startling Ron.

What are you doing in such a panic?

Ron said with a hint of helplessness.

Taiichiro, however, looked furious.

“Look at the mess those curses have made. They’ve gone even further and become even more despicable.”

Ron was stunned. He had just come out of those cursed castles and saw the curses showing their best side. Where did Taiichiro's resentment come from?

Taiichiro saw Ron's surprised expression and said.

"Maybe you don't know yet, but I'll take you to see for yourself, and then you'll see what they've done."

With that, he walked ahead and led the way.

They soon arrived at a secluded place, but Ron could sense a very strange energy fluctuation, indicating that a curse was lurking nearby.

"What's going on here?"

Ron asked, somewhat surprised.

Taiichiro pointed ahead and said to Ron.

"Look in that direction, do you see it?"

Chapter 19, Corpses Littering the Field

Ron saw the horrific scene ahead and felt like vomiting. Not far from him, corpses lay strewn everywhere. The aura of the curse still lingered in the vicinity, but he couldn't see the curse itself; only the corpses slowly rotting.

The blood, which had congealed into a small stream, slowly flowed over Ron's feet, a sight that greatly surprised him.

"What's going on here?"

Ron asked loudly.

Taichiro said.

"Don't you understand yet? This is the work of those curses. They appear to be on friendly terms with these people, but in reality, they are still slaughtering them."

They use friendship as a pretense, but secretly they are doing these things. Those curses are inherently evil, and they will never become what you think they are.

Ron stared at the scene, his heart screaming, his body trembling. He felt as if he had been deceived, as if everything he had seen before was a series of slaps to his face.

Ron abruptly turned and rushed towards the castle. He was determined to find the girl and get some answers, but Taiichiro blocked his path.

"Get out of my way, I need her to explain this to me clearly!"

Taichiro said.

“Going to question her now would be like stirring up trouble. She will definitely explain herself, and her explanation will certainly be a lie. What we need to do now is to wipe them out in one fell swoop, leaving no one alive, and not letting them continue to live.”

Ron stared at Taiichiro, whose eyes were filled with rage. His hand was on the hilt of his sword, and it was clear that he was extremely angry.

Ron said.

"But what should we do? Are we going to have to fight again?"

Taichiro said.

"This battle is inevitable, and we can sense that it will break out very soon. We must strike first; only by taking them by surprise can we hope to win."

Ron frowned deeply. He felt that something was wrong with the matter, but he couldn't figure out what went wrong no matter how hard he tried.

However, he could sense that Taiichiro's current state seemed somewhat strange. The other party harbored too much resentment towards those curses, and now he had made preparations for this, and it seemed that these preparations had been made a long time ago.

Ron said.

"Do you have a plan?"

Taichiro said immediately.

"Of course there are plans."

He then explained his plan to Ron in detail. It was clear that Taiichiro wanted to eradicate the curse completely, and many aspects of the plan surprised even Ron.

Ron thought for a moment and said.

"I have to find out what they're thinking no matter what."

After saying that, he continued walking towards the castle, but Taiichiro seemed to be in a hurry and immediately stopped Ron.

"Don't you understand? Now is the perfect time to make a breakthrough. If they find out your plans, our scheme will fail. This is our only chance to win. Do you want to see humanity ravaged by those curses?"
