"Calm down, Tashigi."

A steady male voice rang out.

The moment Ron heard that voice, an image flashed through his mind: a guy with a cigar in his mouth and his white hair combed back.

Ron's lips curled into a slight smile.

Is it him...

"Commander Smoker!"

Tashigi looked at him as if he were her savior and said anxiously, "You've come at the right time. You can vouch for me, right? I'm a sergeant at the Naval Headquarters Academy. My resume and intelligence show that I'm not a female swordswoman from the Sky Calamity Brigade, and I have absolutely no connection with that girl named Kuina, right?"

"Is there even a question? How could you possibly be that Kuina? Don't be fooled by pirates."

Smoker, with a cigar dangling from his mouth, picked at his ear and said, "That female swordswoman named Kuina defeated Vice Admiral Onigumo. This guy doesn't have that kind of strength."

The marines behind Tashigi nodded in understanding upon hearing this.

"indeed."

"That's true, Sergeant Tashigi simply doesn't have the strength of a swordsman."

"They really just look alike."

"Sergeant Tashigi, I'm sorry, I actually had my doubts about you."

Tashigi's lips twitched as she listened to their words.

Although the misunderstanding has been cleared up, why am I still so annoyed?

You guys were actually almost fooled by these pirates? Turns out, it was your own strength that proved your identity?

I'm so sorry for being so weak!

While Tashigi was secretly annoyed.

Smoker turned to the group of pirates: "So you're the ones who stole the supplies from those shops, planning to head to the Grand Line, right?"

"Oh no, it's the White Hunters!"

"Run away!"

The pirates stared at Smoker standing next to Tashigi, and upon hearing his words, they were terrified. Forgetting about arguing with Tashigi any longer, they scattered and fled.

"Do you think you can escape from me? Arrest everyone!"

Smoker instantly turned into smoke and flew towards the pirates.

With his fists and abilities, these pirates, whose combined bounties didn't even reach 30 million Berries, were quickly all knocked to the ground.

Tashigi and the other marines restrained and tied them up, planning to send them together to the Marine branch prison later.

Smoker sat on a rock, a cigar dangling from his lips, watching Tashigi and the others tie up the pirates.

"I've been in Loguetown for eight or nine years now. Dealing with these weak pirates from the East Blue all day long has made my hands and feet almost sluggish."

"Should I return to headquarters?"

Smoker thought to himself.

His expression suddenly changed, and he abruptly turned his head to look behind him.

Suddenly, a figure appeared behind him.

Smoker broke out in a cold sweat instantly, a chill running down his spine.

when?

I didn't even notice...

The body's activated instincts surpass the mind's thinking.

Before he could react, he had already thrown a punch at the man.

Propelled by the white smoke, the powerful white fist was easily caught by a hand, and at the same time, a young voice that was quite familiar to Smoker rang out, startling him.

"Hey, do you have to get serious every time you meet someone you know?"

Upon hearing the familiar voice and recognizing the person's face, Smoker's eyes widened in astonishment.

"It turned out to be you!"

"long time no see."

Ron, with his eyes closed, smiled at him and released his grip on his fist.

"Commander Smoker?"

Tashigi, with her short blue hair and glasses, noticed the commotion and cast a curious and puzzled glance at them.

However, Ron's face was not visible; Smoker obscured most of his face and body.

"Let's talk somewhere else. I'll wait for you at the pub where we drank earlier."

After Ron finished speaking, he turned and left without waiting for Smoker to say anything.

Smoker stared intently at his retreating figure.

As expected... you're still alive.

Tashigi, who had walked up to him, looked at the tall, muscular figure in the black coat with a hint of curiosity in her eyes.

"Commander Smoker, is that your friend?"

"Friends? How could that be? They're just acquaintances."

Smoker said, stepping past Tashigi and walking in another direction.

"Commander Smoker, where are you going?"

"Just wander around, you take these guys back later."

Smoker waved to her with his back turned.

…………

Inside a tavern in Loguetown.

Smoker and Ron sat side by side at the counter.

Each of them had a glass of wine with ice in front of them.

"I haven't heard anything from you in the past two years. I thought you had been seriously injured by Kaido and had disappeared from the sea."

Smoker glanced at him and said.

When we parted ways at this tavern years ago, he was just a dark-haired boy who had recently left the Grand Line and was not well-known.

Who could have imagined that just a few years later...

That boy has now grown into the young man sitting next to him.

In the name of the traveler, he created one earth-shattering event after another, and the name of Ron the Traveler spread throughout the entire sea, becoming a legend that countless people on the sea revered and longed for!

Even though he hasn't appeared on the sea for two years, many people on the entire ocean still firmly believe that he is still alive and that Ron the Traveler will one day reappear on the sea and continue to write his legend.

Ron, holding his wine glass, chuckled softly upon hearing Smoker's words: "Generally speaking, wouldn't you think I should have been killed by him outright?"

Smoker took a sip of his drink and said, "If you died on Onigashima, Kaido wouldn't have kept quiet, right? But we haven't heard a single word from them in the last two years."

Ron glanced at him, smiled, and took a sip of his drink.

Smoker glanced at him: "Did I say something wrong?"

“No.” Ron shook his head. “It just surprises me a little. You don’t seem like the kind of person who would pay attention to what’s going on in the New World.”

"That was true before, but in recent years I have been paying close attention to the situation in the Grand Line and the New World."

Smoker said, taking a sip of his drink.

He glanced at the young man beside him.

"The previously stable situation in the world has been disrupted because of you, and now great changes are taking place."

"Hey, hey, hey, what you're saying makes it sound like it's all my fault. I didn't do anything at first."

Smoker ignored him and continued drinking: "If I had known you brought Nico Robin on the ship back then, I would have stopped you."

"You couldn't beat me back then, and of course you can't beat me now either."

Ron smiled and handed his wine glass to the owner at the counter:

"Continued Cup."

"okay."

Smoker, annoyed by Ron's words and feeling frustrated yet unable to refute them, downed his drink in one gulp to ease his mood.

"What are you planning to do next? Continue to be an enemy of the Navy?"

Smoker looked at him and asked in a low voice.

"Now that we've become enemies, there's no room for reconciliation. The World Government won't let me go either, this thorn in their side."

Ron rested his chin on his hand and tapped the countertop lightly with the other, speaking casually and calmly. But his next sentence made Smoker's pupils shrink sharply.

"I'm going to do something big next, and if I succeed, it might completely upend the world."
