The data decoding progress bar is moving forward little by little, but we are still some distance from success.

At this moment, an enemy circled around to the other side, attempting to get closer to Wang Ze.

With quick reflexes, Su Ting turned his gun around without hesitation and fired several shots at the enemy, finally bringing him to the ground.

But at that moment, the last enemy seized the opportunity and charged towards Su Ting, and the two engaged in a fierce hand-to-hand combat.

This enemy was clearly a specially trained special forces soldier, highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat.

The two sides were evenly matched for a short period of time, exchanging blows and making it difficult to determine a winner.

The cramped space in the room restricted their movements, but it also provided more opportunities for close-quarters combat.

Su Ting forced his enemy back a step with an elbow strike, then quickly followed up with a vicious kick to his opponent's legs.

The enemy lost his balance and fell to the ground.

Without hesitation, Su Ting stepped forward, pressed his knee into the man's chest, and pressed the gun firmly against his temple.

Chapter 296 Resentment and Anger

"Don't move. If you dare to resist again, I'll kill you on the spot!" Su Ting said coldly, his eyes filled with determination.

The enemy was panting heavily, his eyes flashing with resentment and anger, but he knew that he had no chance of winning at this moment.

Finally, his body gradually went limp, and he gave up resisting.

Meanwhile, the progress bar on the computer screen finally reached 100%. Data packet decoding successful!

Wang Ze breathed a sigh of relief and looked up at Su Ting, "Alright! Data decryption is complete."

Su Ting nodded, removed the gun from the enemy's temple, and instead used handcuffs to subdue him.

“Well done,” Su Ting said. “Hurry up and organize the data; we need to get out of here quickly.”

Wang Ze quickly copied the encrypted data file to a USB drive and then shut down the computer.

Just as the two were about to get up, footsteps sounded again in the corridor outside the door, as if another wave of enemies was about to attack.

"The situation is getting increasingly dangerous; we must evacuate immediately."

Su Ting whispered to Wang Ze, "Come with me, we'll go out the back door."

The two quickly gathered their gear and moved toward the secret passage at the back of the room.

This is a secret exit known only to a select few, allowing one to bypass enemies and escape the building directly.

"Brother Su, are there any traps on this road? Could there be an ambush?" Wang Ze asked with some concern.

"Don't worry, I know every detail of this road, and they probably don't know there's a secret passage here yet. If we're fast enough, we should be fine."

Su Ting replied, his tone revealing immense confidence.

As they spoke, Su Ting had already opened the door hidden behind the wall.

A dark and narrow path appeared before them, barely wide enough for one person to pass through.

"Stay close to me," Su Ting instructed, then took the lead into the darkness.

The two walked briskly along the path, despite the extremely poor lighting around them.

But thanks to their years of experience, their movements in the dark remained exceptionally swift and steady.

Suddenly, a faint light appeared not far ahead. It turned out to be a corner, and in the light, a door could be vaguely seen ahead.

"This is it. From here, you can go directly to the outside streets," Su Ting said in a low voice, quickening his pace as he approached the door.

Just as they were about to arrive, a series of chaotic footsteps sounded outside the door, accompanied by low voices talking. Clearly, there were still many enemies outside.

Su Ting and Wang Ze immediately stopped and carefully leaned against the wall.

"What should we do? There seem to be quite a few people..." Wang Ze looked at Su Ting nervously and asked in a low voice.

"Let's observe the situation first before making a decision."

Su Ting responded softly. He peeked through the crack in the door to see what was happening outside, and saw at least five or six fully armed men guarding the door a short distance away.

Su Ting turned to look at Wang Ze, "It seems we'll have to resort to unconventional methods."

“I’ll make some noise to attract their attention. You take advantage of the chaos to slip past them to the side and wait for me on the other side of the street. Remember, no matter what happens, don’t look back.”

After saying this, before Wang Ze could react, Su Ting had already rushed out.

He suddenly flung open the door and yelled, "Hey! Listen up, all of you!"

This immediately caused a commotion, and everyone's attention was drawn to the sudden attacker.

Just as everyone turned their weapons toward the source of the sound, Su Ting began to nimbly dodge the attacks and use his gun to fight back.

Gunshots rang out and shrapnel flew everywhere.

"Wang Ze! Run!" Su Ting shouted as he fought.

However, Wang Ze did not act according to the original plan. Instead, he picked up a metal rod from the side and used it as a weapon, gritting his teeth as he charged towards the group of enemies who were besieging Su Ting.

Chapter 297 A Guy Who Doesn't Play by the Rules

"Wang Ze, what are you doing?!" Su Ting roared, dodging bullets while looking in Wang Ze's direction.

However, Wang Ze seemed not to hear Su Ting's warning; he gripped the metal rod tightly in his hand.

He charged forward, gritting his teeth. Seeing this, the enemies separated two of them to deal with this unpredictable guy.

Su Ting frowned. He knew that if he didn't quickly resolve the immediate problem, the situation would only get worse.

He quickly adjusted his strategy, firing rapid bursts of fire to take down the two enemies who lunged at Wang Ze.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Wang Ze fiercely swung the metal rod in his hand, knocking down one of the fallen enemies.

"Brother Su, let's go together!" he shouted.

"You brat!" Su Ting sighed and shook his head helplessly. But he knew that now was not the time to blame the other party.

He suddenly threw a grenade to the other side and yelled, "Get down!"

A huge explosion rang out in the narrow passage, and flames and thick smoke immediately filled the air.

Wang Ze immediately lay down on the ground, while Su Ting quickly grabbed his hand, shouting, "Run!"

The two ran wildly down the chaotic corridor. The enemy guards outside had been alerted by the explosion but had not yet fully recovered.

Taking advantage of this brief moment, Su Ting and Wang Ze quickly passed through the gate and ran into the street under the cover of night.

They dared not linger, constantly changing directions in the quiet and dimly lit alley, finally shaking off their pursuers.

The two stopped and leaned against the wall, panting heavily.

"Wang Ze, you almost messed things up this time," Su Ting scolded in a low voice.

Wang Ze wiped the sweat from his forehead and said defiantly, "But I was trying to help you."

Su Ting sighed and patted him on the shoulder. "I know you mean well, but we must proceed with caution. This mission is too important to afford any more mistakes."

Wang Ze nodded, his face full of guilt. "I'm sorry, Brother Su. I'll be more careful in the future."

Su Ting shook his head. "It's alright. The most important thing for you now is to contact command as soon as possible and have them send a car to pick us up."

"Okay," Wang Ze nodded in agreement.

Just then, they heard light footsteps in the distance. Their hearts tightened, and they exchanged a glance.

"Someone's coming!" Su Ting said in a low voice.

"Could they be our reinforcements?" Wang Ze asked nervously.

Su Ting squinted, peering ahead through the dim light. Just then, a dark figure appeared at the alley entrance, holding a long spear.

"No, it's the enemy!" Su Ting whispered a reminder. "Prepare for battle."

"Understood." Wang Ze replied in a low voice, drawing a dagger from his waist and gripping it tightly.

The dark figure slowly approached, when suddenly a voice rang out, "Captain Su? Is that you?"

Su Ting was taken aback for a moment, then relaxed a bit. "Chen Gang? It's you? What are you doing here?"

"We received an emergency signal, and headquarters sent me to lead a team to provide support," Chen Gang said. "The others are setting up defenses around the area to ensure our safe evacuation."

"That was just in time!" Su Ting breathed a sigh of relief. "We've got the data; we need to get back immediately."

“No problem.” Chen Gang nodded. “Follow me, I’ll get you out of here safely.”

Su Ting and Wang Ze followed Chen Gang and walked quickly forward, the dark alley gradually disappearing behind them.

"Brother Su, everything should be alright now, right?" Wang Ze asked in a low voice.

“I hope so,” Su Ting replied. “However, we need to return to base as soon as possible to analyze this data.”

“Yes,” Wang Ze nodded, “This mission is really tricky.”

Just as the three were moving away from the danger zone, Su Ting suddenly stopped, his expression serious. "Chen Gang, do you sense anything is wrong?"

Chen Gang also stopped, listened carefully to the sounds around him, and frowned, saying, "Something is definitely not right..."
