Rope Tree was somewhat disappointed: "How come someone as powerful as Second Grandfather isn't the strongest one?"
An Yan smiled and ate a piece of roasted meat, saying, "If the strengths are similar, and we really try to determine a winner, I'm afraid it will result in mutual destruction."
Nawaki pursed his lips and asked again, "So, among the Third Hokage's group of Kage, who is the strongest?"
This was quite a sensitive topic. Not only were the students at his table staring at An Yan, but the guests at other tables were also listening intently.
An Yan is considered a representative figure of the new generation in Konoha, and is also a high-ranking member. Many people are familiar with him, and if he gives his comments, many people will believe what he says, after all, his strength speaks for itself.
An Yan wasn't afraid of the risks behind his comments at all. He had the ability to back it up, and no one could do anything to him, so he just said whatever came to mind.
"I'm not sure who the strongest of the Third Hokage is, but it's certain that the Kazekage is the weakest, basically only at the level of an elite Jonin from Konoha. Although the Third Tsuchikage suffered a loss at my hands, Dust Release is a Kekkei Tota, and its attack power is astonishing and should not be underestimated. The Land of Water is currently closed off, and the Third Mizukage's information is shrouded in mystery; he hasn't made a move, so I don't know anything about him. The Third Raikage is known as the strongest spear and the strongest shield, but he died at the hands of my teacher, Danzo. If Danzo was no match for the Hokage, then it's likely that the Third Raikage is also no match for the Hokage."
An Yan was essentially gilding Hiruzen Sarutobi's reputation, but everyone who heard it at the dinner table believed it.
Chapter 110 Normalized Immortal Mode
An Yan was actually using a fallacy of semantics. Danzo being unable to defeat Hiruzen Sarutobi is not the same as the Third Raikage being unable to defeat Hiruzen Sarutobi. He felt that if the Third Raikage were to actually fight the Third Raikage, he would have a pretty good chance of winning, but the Third Raikage had a special technique, the forbidden technique - Reaper Death Seal, which could force a one-for-one exchange.
So Danzo and the Third Raikage fought to the death. If it had been Hiruzen Sarutobi, the outcome would probably have been the same. But since the Third Raikage was dead, An Yan's word was law. As a Konoha resident, born in Konoha Village, it was only natural for him to support Hiruzen Sarutobi, since he had to be on the right side.
After all, it's a fact that Danzo couldn't defeat Sarutobi, and everyone believed An'an's judgment.
As a result, Hiruzen Sarutobi unexpectedly gained another wave of prestige in Konoha.
After all, the villagers of Konoha all hope that the strongest ninja will protect them and lead them.
Rope Tree received An Yan's answer and felt that the answer was as expected: the Kage of Konoha is very strong, the strongest.
However, Yahiko suddenly asked, "Are there any stronger beings above the Shadow level?"
A sudden silence fell over the area, as if everyone wanted to hear An Yan's insights.
An Yan also fell silent. There were far more beings than Ying, but he shouldn't know so much, so he naturally chose to say only what he could.
"Personally, I think that the strength of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, is far superior to that of the Kage of each village. Therefore, a strong person of this level can be called a Super Kage. Currently, there are two confirmed cases: one is the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, and the other is his close friend and nemesis, Madara Uchiha."
"Will I ever reach the level of Super Shadow in the future?" Yahiko murmured to himself.
Konan, who was standing nearby, stuffed a piece of grilled meat into Yahiko's mouth. "You really dare to dream big. First, become an excellent Jonin."
Yahiko coughed awkwardly a few times, then ate his grilled meat while chatting about other things.
It was the first time that Nawaki, Yahiko, and Konan had met, but after a meal, everyone got to know each other. Putting Konan aside for the moment, Yahiko and Nawaki were both quite outgoing and cheerful, and the two quickly became friends, starting to talk about their ideals at the dinner.
After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, they went home. An Yan stood at the entrance of the barbecue restaurant, watching the three couples walk in different directions. He couldn't help but smile slightly, and then disappeared in an instant.
An Yan arrived at the Wet Bone Forest.
Long ago, An Yan wanted to try training in the Sage Mode Chakra, but he was rejected by the Slug Sage because his life force was not strong enough.
Now that An Yan possesses the bloodline of the Spartan demon and has the ability to regenerate blood through breathing, his physical recovery ability is no less than that of Hashirama Senju, so he has the idea of practicing Sage Mode again.
The slug fairy noticed An Yan's arrival and asked in surprise, "Little An Yan, welcome to the Wet Bone Forest. What made you decide to come here?"
The Slug Sage's voice was very pleasant, like that of a girl next door, but its body was enormous, like a mountain, with no end in sight.
No matter how many times An Yan saw it, he was always deeply moved and amazed by the wonder of nature and the miracle of life.
Looking at the enormous slug immortal in the Wet Bone Forest, An Yan directly stated his purpose.
"My vitality is now extraordinary, so I suppose I should be able to cultivate the Immortal Mode."
The Slug Immortal carefully examined An Yan, but couldn't discern anything special about him. He seemed to be just as ordinary as before. However, An Yan was now famous, so the Slug Immortal naturally didn't doubt what he said.
"In that case, you may come with me."
A small slug hopped onto An Yan's shoulder and guided him through the vast white mountain range. They traversed mountains and valleys until they arrived at a green, acidic lake. Although the lake was green overall, it was very clear, and one could see the white bones of various humans and animals at the bottom.
The fact that bones could be left in the acidic lake suggests that the original owner of the bones was exceptionally powerful in life.
The little slug pointed at the acidic lake and said to An Yan, "Lord An Yan, the Sage Mode training in Shikkotsu Forest is very simple and straightforward. This lake contains a lot of natural energy. As long as you jump into this acidic lake, your life potential will be stimulated by the acidic water. By perfectly matching the spiritual and physical energy in your chakra with the natural energy brought by the acidic water's erosion of your body, you will be able to cultivate the Sage Mode Chakra Mode."
An Yan looked at the green amber in front of him, then gently touched the surface of the water with his finger. A layer of skin immediately peeled off his finger. The acidity was comparable to that of concentrated sulfuric acid.
"So, should we just tough it out? Are there any safety measures on the path of cultivation?"
An Yan remembered that Mount Myoboku seemed to have something that could knock out natural energy when it went out of control. Didn't Shikkotsu Forest have that?
The little slug said shyly, "Lord An Yan, I am your insurance measure. When the energy inside your body goes out of control, I can help you absorb a small amount of natural energy, but only a small amount. If you take too much at once, I can't help you."
"Then thank you very much. I entrust my life to you, Slug Sage."
An Yan immediately took off his clothes and plunged into the acidic lake in a Filipino-style diving motion. Endless pain immediately enveloped An Yan, and he almost activated his demonic transformation. However, after the pain subsided, he managed to endure it.
An Yan found a shallow beach, poked his head out, and stood still, beginning to sense the natural energy in the acidic water.
With the help of demonic bloodline and breath healing, An Yan's skin could be seen constantly festering and rebuilding beneath the azure waves, in an endless cycle.
An Yan calmed his mind and easily sensed the flow of natural energy. His basic attributes were now so high that he could easily do things he couldn't do before.
Physical energy, mental energy, and natural energy.
An Yan focused on three things at once, constantly adjusting the proportions between them, and finally achieved a perfect fusion of Sage Chakra.
A red face mask appeared, and An Yan successfully entered the Immortal Mode.
The next step was to maintain this state. An Yan waited silently. After a minute or two, he couldn't control the proportion of Sage Chakra, so he exited Sage Mode again.
However, everything is difficult at the beginning. Once you get there the first time, it will be much easier to get started later.
An Yan began to frequently enter Sage Mode until he had completely mastered it. The next thing to do was much simpler: use various methods to try to reduce the skill cooldown in order to reach the level of Hashirama Senju, who could instantly enter Sage Mode.
However, this is something that needs to be done year after year. An Yan's ultimate goal is to normalize the Sage Mode, to operate the Sage Mode at all times, and to improve the ability to fight in normal situations.
Chapter 111 The Snake of Grass and Trees
After successfully mastering Sage Mode, An Yan returned to a peaceful life, spending his days with Tsunade, taking care of his son, and teaching his disciples.
Now that Nawaki has successfully mastered Sage Mode, if he wants to further improve his strength, he can only teach Wood Release. Teaching one person is the same as teaching three, so An'yan simply invited Minato and Kana to join him in teaching as well.
An Yan's three disciples began learning Wood Release at the same time, and Minato even tried to learn Magnet Release. An Yan let them do as they pleased, as geniuses always have privileges.
As the days went by, An Yan watched her son grow up day by day, and her heart was filled with joy.
On this day, An Yan was enjoying his family time as usual when suddenly the ground shook, as if something had happened. An Yan and Tsunade exchanged a glance and quickly handed the child to Tsunade.
Xiao Anshan was startled by the sudden tremor and burst into tears. Tsunade quickly picked up the child and began to comfort him.
An Yan directly touched the ground with one finger to sense the source of the vibration.
"This direction leads to Root. What kind of trouble is Hiruko causing? Tsunade, keep an eye on the kids, I'm going to check it out."
An Yan greeted Tsunade, then went up and kissed her before turning to leave.
Tsunade was too busy coaxing the child to talk to An Yan.
An Yan used Flying Thunder God Technique to arrive at the Root laboratory, which was already in complete chaos.
The rampant growth of the mutated plants twisted the metal walls of the laboratory beyond recognition. The rapid growth of the plants even produced a sound as they expanded, faintly audible as some kind of beast roared, interspersed with the frantic breathing of Hiruko.
"My lab equipment! This stuff cost a hundred million yuan, and I haven't even used it more than a few times!!!"
An Yan wanted to laugh as soon as he heard Hiruko's exasperated voice. He walked over the metal fragments of the experimental equipment scattered on the ground, through the branches of the wildly growing trees, and came directly to Hiruko's side.
"Oh, esteemed Lord Beiruk, what's going on here? Did things get out of hand?"
Hiruko was staring at the huge pit in front of him, seemingly observing something. When he heard the sound, he realized that An Yan had arrived. Upon seeing An Yan, he excitedly pulled An Yan to the edge of the pit.
"An Yan, you've arrived. It's the perfect opportunity to show you my latest experimental results."
An Yan stared intently and saw a giant serpent of grass and trees coiled at the bottom of the huge pit, hundreds of meters deep. It was constantly ramming against the specially made alloy protective device at the edge of the pit, and each impact produced a violent tremor. Sand and soil kept leaking down from above the laboratory.
This plant-like snake was covered in a brown, woody structure, like tree bark. Its head was covered with numerous vines, its outline indistinct yet clearly recognizable as a snake. It opened its gaping maw and sprayed green venom at the glass above, but the venom fell before it even touched the glass, instead sizzling and corroding itself.
"This thing looks like a demon. What did you put in it?"
An Yan examined the grass snake closely and the more he looked at it, the more he felt that it resembled the owner of the forest house in Devil May Cry 4.
"You figured it out, hahaha. This is a powerful biological weapon I created using the blood of that wood-type demon lord you gave me, combined with Hashirama cells and White Zetsu. How about it? Not bad, right?"
Hiruko looked at the serpent, his eyes filled with satisfaction. The giant serpent kept ramming its tail and head against the metal wall of the observation room with tremendous force, deforming the metal wall.
"His strength seems alright, but he probably needs some training. Or should we just cut him down?"
Although this plant serpent is trapped here, its demonic power continues to emanate, affecting the surrounding plants. Under the influence of its magic, the plants are constantly squeezing the living space in the laboratory.
An Yan looked at the grass and tree snakes below, a hint of impatience flashing in his eyes. He immediately drew his Yama Blade, gripped it tightly, and prepared to deal with the grass and tree snakes first, lest the demonic surge continue to affect Konoha.
However, after only drawing the sword half an inch, the grass and trees below seemed to sense something, and the rapidly growing plants instantly stopped growing.
Demons are creatures with a strict hierarchy. The moment An Yan drew his sword, his magical pressure spread out instantly. The pressure of a demon king made the grass and tree snake sense something was wrong.
The grass snake, which had been somewhat agitated, suddenly became docile, much to Hiruko's astonishment.
"An Yan, what level is your demonic bloodline? Why is this guy so afraid of you?"
Hiruko grabbed An Yan and began to look him up and down, seemingly trying to see if there was anything strange about him.
An Yan rolled his eyes and didn't answer Hiruko's question. Instead, he said directly, "Can you handle this little thing? If you can't, I'll chop it down for you to prevent it from rioting every now and then and disturbing the child's sleep."
Seeing that An Yan seemed to still want to kill the Grass and Tree Serpent, Hiruko hurriedly stepped forward and hugged An Yan, "Don't, there's only one of these now, it's very precious. Do you still have any of your Lord-level Demon's blood? If you do, give me some more."
An Yan squatted down and stood up on the spot, breaking free from Bei Liu Hu's embrace.
"Good things are naturally rare. I don't have any of these left. Once you've used them up, you're on your own. Go see Orochimaru and Tobirama-sama; maybe they'll share some with you."
An Yan distanced himself from Bei Liu Hu. Bei Liu Hu's white coat was already covered in mud, while An Yan was dressed casually and didn't want to have any contact with him, lest he get his clothes dirty and have to wash them himself.
The moment An Yan dodged, Hiruzen glanced down at his own clothes and immediately understood why An Yan had dodged. He wasn't angry, but just helplessly spread his hands and said, "Forget it. Orochimaru and Tobirama-sama each have their own research. They barely have enough high-quality materials for their own experiments, let alone enough for me."
An Yan also shrugged: "Then there's nothing I can do. You know I don't do much research anymore, and I don't have any high-level materials on hand. I've given them all to you."
Hiryu scratched his messy hair in annoyance, then waved at An Yan.
"Forget it, you go ahead with your work, I'll figure out the rest myself."
An Yan glanced at Biruhu, intending to give him a few more words of advice about the dangers of studying demons, but then he thought that Biruhu had been in this business for so many years and knew everything he needed to know, so he didn't say anything more and turned to leave.
