Chapter 111 Frieza Appears
Chapter 111 Frieza Appears
After a burst of noisy electrical static, Master Roshi's indistinct voice slowly came through: "Huh? Bulma, what did you say? The signal is so bad, I can't hear you clearly."
"What should we do!" Bulma was extremely anxious, stamping her feet so hard that dust flew up from her feet. "I mean, you must tell Goku to come over right away! But whatever you do, don't tell Chi-Chi a single word, don't let her worry, remember that!" As she spoke, she gestured vigorously in the air with her free hand, trying to make her words more persuasive.
But Master Roshi's intermittent, maddening voice still came through the communicator: "What? Bulma, say it again, who's on Namek? Is there anything else you can't tell Chi-Chi?"
"Oh no, that's not how it is!" Bulma's eyes reddened with anger, tears welling up, her hands flailing wildly in the air. "I said Goku, come help me right now! Did you hear me? Oh no, that's not what I meant! If Chi-Chi finds out, she'll throw a huge tantrum! You absolutely can't mess this up!" She paced back and forth, her steps hurried and flustered, her hair disheveled by the wind. She was filled with worry, fearing that Master Roshi had misrepresented the message, leaving them truly helpless on this dangerous Namek.
Master Roshi's voice came again: "Oh, I..."
While Bulma was on the phone with Master Roshi, Shang Yun, Krillin, and Gohan were vigilantly observing their surroundings nearby. Suddenly, a sharp whistling sound ripped through the sky, and the three of them tensed up, instinctively looking up at the sky. A spherical spaceship, identical to Vegeta's, billowing smoke, hurtled past them overhead. The spaceship gleamed with a cold metallic sheen, and powerful air currents were torn apart, producing a wailing sound.
Bulma had just ended the call when she looked up and saw the strange expressions on the three people's faces. Her heart tightened, and she quickly asked, "What should we do next?" However, the three people seemed to be frozen in place, and did not respond. They just stared blankly at the sky.
Shang Yun was the first to come to his senses. He stretched out a slightly trembling finger and pointed to the sky, saying in a dry voice, "Look..." Bulma looked in the direction he was pointing, and in an instant, her pupils contracted sharply, her mouth opened wide uncontrollably, and her face was filled with shock.
"And... how is this possible?!" Bulma's voice suddenly rose, filled with boundless shock and fear. "Vegeta sending one spaceship was bad enough, but how did another one exactly like it appear? What are we going to do now?!" Her body began to tremble uncontrollably, her hands gripping the hem of her clothes tightly, her eyes filled with despair and helplessness. At this moment, everyone knew that the situation on Namek was becoming increasingly complex and dangerous; the appearance of each unknown spaceship could bring annihilation.
……
On Namek, the once tranquil and peaceful village has now been transformed into a living hell. Towering flames rage, and thick smoke, like the tentacles of a demon, shoots into the sky, making the already gloomy sky even more sinister. Houses collapse one after another in the inferno, the crackling and popping sounds incessant, and the acrid smell of burning permeates the ruins.
The Namekians fled in all directions, their panicked cries and desperate pleas for help echoing through the air. An old Namekian, to protect the children behind him, shakily raised his homemade club and charged towards Frieza's ferocious army, only to be instantly blasted away by an energy wave, crashing heavily to the ground, coughing up blood, and never moving again. The young and strong warriors, with all their might, gathered their inner energy, attempting to resist the invaders. Light flickered in their palms as they launched counterattacks. But against the overwhelming firepower of Frieza's army, their resistance was utterly futile; warriors fell one after another, their blood staining the ground beneath their feet.
Amidst this chaotic scene, a Namekian collapsed with a thud. An alien dressed in the same battle suit as Vegeta, resembling a cobra, rushed over, clutching a Dragon Ball tightly in his hands, and respectfully exclaimed, "Lord Frieza, we've found another Dragon Ball!"
Frieza sat astride his specially crafted hovercraft, gleaming with a cold, metallic sheen, and slowly drifted over. His figure was tall and eerie, his purple skin shimmering like icy scales, the two antennae on his head trembling slightly as if sensing the fear around him. A long, thin tail trailed behind him, its gentle sway exuding arrogance. His blood-red eyes shone with endless cruelty and greed. He surveyed the carnage below, a cruel smile curving his lips, and said in a low, hoarse voice, "Very good. So, we've found four Dragon Balls. Find the remaining three, and we can summon Shenron."
“Yes, Lord Frieza,” Dodoria replied in a deep, guttural voice. He was a burly man with rough, cracked, purple skin, like a dried-up riverbed. A long scar ran from his forehead to his chin, making him look particularly ferocious. He was currently holding two Dragon Balls, grinning and revealing sharp fangs, as if showing off his spoils. He occasionally glanced at the battlefield, his eyes completely unmoved, as if the life-or-death struggle before him was nothing more than a farce for his amusement.
Sabo stood beside Dodoria. He was rather thin, and compared to Dodoria, Sabo was much more handsome, but his eyes held a sinister glint. He had light blue skin, a sharply defined face, and pointed, erect ears. He too held a Dragon Ball, nodding slightly and saying, "Your Majesty is wise. I believe we will soon gather all the Dragon Balls." As he spoke, his gaze swept over the struggling Namekians around him, his eyes showing no pity, only the eagerness to complete the mission. When a Namekian warrior broke through the defenses and rushed towards them, attempting to reclaim the Dragon Balls, Sabo simply raised his hand, unleashing a beam of energy that repelled the warrior. He then continued to watch the battle expressionlessly, as if it were all none of his concern.
Not far away, several young Namekians hid behind the ruins, watching helplessly as the carnage unfolded. Their eyes were filled with fear and despair, their bodies trembling uncontrollably, yet they dared not utter a sound for fear of being discovered. Their young hearts were deeply pierced by the bloody scene. Watching their comrades fall one by one, tears welled in their eyes, yet they were powerless to do anything.
However, Frieza's army was equipped with combat power detectors, so how could they possibly escape? They too were doomed to be slaughtered.
