Chapter 273 Phoenix Order Headquarters
"Senior Ayers." Hermione could already hear her voice before she even appeared in the hall.
"Hermione, it's been a long time." I stood up politely and gave Hermione a polite hug.
"Long time no see, and thank you for inviting me to visit." Hermione, like a little cannonball, didn't give everyone a hug, but finally said to Fred and George.
"Actually, it was Sirius who asked us to write to you and invite you." After all, this is Sirius Black's house, and they need the host's permission to come here.
“However, he might be a little prejudiced against you, Ayers, and didn’t invite you to come and stay,” George whispered in my ear.
"It's okay, I can go back to my own home to sleep." I don't care. No matter how prejudiced they are against me now, they'll be in trouble when my true colors are revealed.
"By the way, where are Harry and Ron?" Hermione looked around but didn't see her two friends.
"Harry might not arrive until tonight. Ronnie is still sleeping. I don't know what he did last night, he's sleeping in again today," George said with a smile, pointing upstairs.
"Where am I going to sleep tonight?" Hermione wanted to put her luggage away first.
“Go upstairs and find Ginny. We have name tags on every door,” Fred said to Hermione.
"I'll go up first. Can you help me, Senior Ayers?" Hermione looked at me for help, knowing I could cast a silent spell.
"Alright." With a light snap of her fingers, Hermione's suitcase slowly floated up.
"Thank you, Senior Ayers." Hermione happily turned around and went to chat with Ginny.
Night fell like a giant black ribbon, slowly spreading across the sky and gradually swallowing up the daytime hustle and bustle and light.
On the streets outside the Ministry of Magic, pedestrians hurried along, rushing back to their warm homes before nightfall completely enveloped them.
Percy and Mr. Weasley walked side by side as they finished a busy day at the Ministry of Magic.
Percy maintained his usual meticulous demeanor, carefully adjusting his collar while muttering to himself about some details of his work that day.
Mr. Weasley, on the other hand, seemed much more relaxed. His kind face showed a sense of relief after his exhaustion, and he would occasionally greet familiar wizards along the way.
"There are quite a lot of documents to approve today," Percy said, frowning slightly.
Mr. Weasley smiled and patted his son on the shoulder: "That's the job of the Ministry of Magic, son. But it's always worth it to do something for the wizarding world."
At the same time, Sirius and Lupin returned with steady steps. Sirius's eyes were still sharp, revealing a profound wisdom gained through experience, and he exuded an untamed aura that was difficult to conceal even in the darkness of night.
Lupin, on the other hand, was much gentler, with a faint smile on his face that seemed to dispel a trace of chill in the darkness.
The two groups met at Blake's old house and greeted each other.
"How did things go?" Mr. Weasley asked with concern.
Sirius nodded: "It went relatively smoothly, without any major trouble. However, some clues still need further investigation."
Everyone gathered together, and the conversation naturally turned to Harry. "Why hasn't the boy arrived yet? I hope something's happened to him," Mrs. Weasley said with some concern, glancing out the window every now and then.
"Someone has already gone to pick him up. We can just wait for him here." Although Sirius said this, a hint of anxiety was revealed in his eyes.
Time ticked by, and each sound of footsteps in the distance made everyone look up nervously, but they never saw Harry and the others.
As the night deepened and a chill crept in, everyone's hearts tightened with each passing moment.
Lupin calmly analyzed the various possibilities: "Perhaps there was an unexpected delay. Harry and the people who came to pick him up should know how to adapt to changing circumstances. Let's not panic."
Just when everyone was extremely anxious, familiar figures finally appeared in the distance.
Alastor Moody and Nymphadora Tonks finally brought Harry, who had been living at his aunt's house, to Black's Old House, the current headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.
"Harry, you've finally arrived!" Mrs. Weasley rushed forward and embraced Harry tightly.
