Chapter 108 Giving the highest love, no matter who you are.
"Riddle, I'm hungry." I really am hungry. I just woke up and it seems like I haven't eaten yet.
"I've already made something delicious. Wen's downstairs. Let's go get something to eat." Riddle helped me put on my coat; it was still a bit chilly at night.
We went downstairs to the restaurant, and Riddle brought out all the warm food, and I ate by myself.
"Have you eaten?" It's a bit strange that I'm eating alone; I don't like having people watch me eat.
"I'm not very hungry, I've probably been starving. I don't really feel like eating." Riddle has been asleep for so many years, and he just woke up and drank so much blood. He really doesn't feel like eating anything right now.
“My brother might be coming over in the next few days.” I remember Gellert Grindelwald telling me to wait for him at home.
“The teacher has finally figured it out and doesn’t plan to stay in that tower anymore,” Riddle said, slowly sipping a glass of red wine.
“I went straight to pick him up, but he just stood there like an idiot, which was a sure way to get beaten up.” Riddle and I were both speechless about Gellert Grindelwald.
"So he just abandoned his followers and came here like that?" Riddle didn't seem to care much about Gellert Grindelwald coming here.
"He said he doesn't want to focus on his career anymore, he just wants to win the heart of his beloved." Okay, that's what I said, but I'm not wrong, am I?
“That’s a great idea. Why don’t I do that too?” Riddle looked at me thoughtfully, and I looked back at him in the same way.
"I don't really care, I don't think I'm lacking anything right now, but wouldn't it be boring for you to keep revolving around me like this every day?" It feels like the whole world is mine now, I'm really just giving up, all I need to do now is date handsome guys every day.
"Ayers, what kind of person do you want to stand by your side?" Riddle felt that I gave him a strange feeling, as if nothing could hold me back, or as I would say, I was just playing around.
From the moment I adopted him from the orphanage, it seemed as if everything was in Ayers's hands, as if I was controlling the course of events, yet it also seemed as if I had no control over anything and that he was making all the choices himself.
If I knew what Riddle was thinking right now, I would give him a big thumbs up.
I gave him a choice without even realizing it, but it was still within my control. In doing so, I controlled the direction of the story.
“Riddle, aren’t you standing right next to me now? So what kind of person do you want to be?” I looked sharply at Riddle sitting across from me. I didn’t explicitly say what I wanted him to be; I just wanted to see what kind of person he wanted to become.
Riddle understood that no matter what he became, I would always be his lover.
A smile crept onto Riddle's lips; he was genuinely happy and couldn't shake the smile.
Just then, there was a knock on the door. It was the middle of the night; who would be knocking at this hour?
Riddle picked up his wand, stood up, walked to the door, opened it, and seeing the person outside, he stepped aside to let him in.
Gellert Grindelwald just walked in like that. I turned around and saw it was my older brother. Without even saying hello, I turned back to continue eating my midnight snack. It's past midnight, so it's considered a midnight snack, right?
"Ayers, what's with that look?" Gellert Grindelwald, who had just walked in, saw my disgusted expression and angrily sat down in the chair next to me.
"If Riddle and I hadn't gotten up to eat, wouldn't you have checked the time? Would anyone come knocking at this hour?"
I wiped my mouth with the napkin I had finished eating and picked up the glass of milk that Riddle had prepared for me.
"I rushed over here as soon as I finished what I was doing. I was in such a hurry that I forgot the time. I didn't expect to see your lights were still on, so I knocked on the door." Gellert Grindelwald was originally planning to find a place to sleep for the night, but he was surprised to find my lights were still on. Thirsty, he grabbed my milk and took a swig.
"You can finish the rest." Even though he's my own brother, I don't want to drink what he's already drunk.
Riddle, who had just closed the door, glared at Gellert Grindelwald with murderous intent.
"Um... can I say it was unintentional?" Gellert Grindelwald finally came to his senses, realizing what he had done—stealing his brother's milk. Riddle's glare could have killed him many times over.
"Then we'll go to sleep. You can tidy up." I smiled at Gellert Grindelwald. He dared to touch my things. No wonder he couldn't win over Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. He has no sense of propriety.
I pulled Riddle along and we left, heading back to my room.
"Is this how you treat your guests?" Gellert Grindelwald was furious. He had only just arrived and already had to wash the dishes and tidy up for his brother.
"Are you a guest? Hurry up and pack your things, or I'll throw you out." We went upstairs without looking back.
Riddle is used to how we get along; he's seen this kind of thing happen quite often before.
"You go to sleep first, I'll go wash up." After tucking Riddle into my super-sized bed, I grabbed my pajamas from the closet and went to take a shower.
When I came back after taking a shower, Riddle was still awake, waiting for me to return to bed.
“Ayers, I’ve made up my mind. I want to rule the British magical world. What do you think?” Riddle suddenly wanted to have someone stand by my side.
"You can do whatever you want, it's your choice, isn't it?" I never interfere with the choices of any of my loved ones, and I can accept whatever they choose.
No matter what Riddle is like, he is my love.
Riddle and I lay on our big bed, surrounded by an atmosphere of ambiguity.
Our bodies were tightly embraced, our breaths mingling together.
Riddle's lips touched mine lightly, as softly as a feather.
I could feel his warmth and desire; his kiss deepened, making me feel intoxicated.
His hand gently stroked my hair, pulling me closer. I responded to his kiss, our tongues entwining, savoring the wonderful moment.
Our kiss grew more and more passionate, as if time had stopped. I could feel his heartbeat, echoing mine.
In that moment, it felt as if the world consisted of just the two of us; we were so deeply immersed in our love for each other that we couldn't pull ourselves away.
Riddle was finally at ease. His lover, who had seemed so elusive before, was now real. Ayers was no longer going to disappear suddenly, and he would never be alone again. Ayers was truly by his side this time.
