Chapter 104 Afternoon Tea with Gellert Grindelwald
Chapter 104 Afternoon Tea with Gellert Grindelwald
After Severus and I finished breakfast, we asked Spot to take us to Gellert Grindelwald's book collection room.
I think Severus would really like this place. I know my brother loves collecting books from all sorts of fields, and this place probably has more books than Hogwarts. Of course, there's also dark magic here, and I remember Severus had some exposure to it.
When I brought Riddle here before, he stayed here for a long time. His favorite thing to do was come here to read books.
The door to the collection room slowly opened, and a musty smell of old books wafted out.
As we stepped inside, Severus was amazed by the sight before him.
The tall bookshelves stretched from the floor to the ceiling, filled with all kinds of books, so many that it was dazzling.
The books have diverse covers, some inlaid with gemstones, others engraved with exquisite patterns, showcasing their preciousness and uniqueness. The aisles between the bookshelves are spacious and clean, with soft carpets on the floor, making footsteps almost inaudible.
In the center of the collection room stands a huge desk, piled high with books and documents.
Behind the desk is a comfortable chair, seemingly designed to allow readers to immerse themselves in reading for extended periods.
Some ancient portraits hang on the wall, and the figures in the paintings seem to be silently watching us.
Severus's eyes gleamed with excitement as he eagerly approached the bookshelves and began browsing the precious books. His fingers gently traced the spines of the books, as if engaging in a silent dialogue with them.
I smiled as I watched the excited Severus; I knew he would love it here.
"DianDian." I wasn't satisfied with just a desk here, and I wanted DianDian to help me get some things.
"Second Young Master, I'm here." Dian Dian appeared in front of me with 'Phantom Shift'.
"Prepare a super large rug for me, along with several cushions and pillows of various sizes, and a low table." There is still an empty space in front of the enormous desk, enough to put my things.
How can you read without a comfort zone, especially for someone like me who likes to relax and need a place where I can lie down and read?
"Yes, Second Young Master, we'll get ready right away." Upon hearing my instructions, Dian Dian quickly left again, and after a while, the things I needed were arranged and laid out for me.
She took off her shoes, sat down at the low table, and picked up the tea set that Dian Dian had prepared to brew two cups of flower tea for herself and Severus.
"Severus, come over here and have some tea. Books won't run away." She took a sip of her own brewed flower tea, ate some of the small desserts she had prepared, and watched Severus browsing in the book section.
"Ayers, I never expected there to be so many potion books here that I haven't read before." Severus excitedly walked over with several books in his hands.
"Come on, you can lie down here and read." There was a large floor-to-ceiling window where we were sitting, so the sunlight could shine in, but it wasn't too bright for us.
I placed a large cushion, similar to the beanbag chair from my past life, next to Severus so he could comfortably lean back and read.
“Okay.” Severus took off his shoes, walked to the low table, took a sip of the herbal tea I had brewed for him, then leaned back against the cushions and opened the book he had just picked up to read.
“Little brother, you really know how to enjoy yourself.” Just then, Gellert Grindelwald walked in.
“Let’s go outside and talk. Let Severus stay here and read quietly for a while.” I stood up, put on my shoes, and left with Gellert Grindelwald.
Severus only glanced at our departing figures before immersing himself in the ocean of knowledge.
Away from the book collection room, we went to the garden pavilion outside to have tea.
“Come on, tell your brother, who is this person you brought?” Gellert Grindelwald looked at me with curiosity and gossip as I was seriously drinking tea.
"My love." I calmly sipped my tea.
“Where is Del?” Gellert Grindelwald asked again.
"She's also my lover." I remained calm; it was the truth.
"Brother, you're so loving!" Gellert Grindelwald couldn't help but admire his brother for having two lovers.
“Your brother’s current goal is eleven.” I blurted out again, leaving Gellert Grindelwald stunned.
"Can your body handle it?" Gellert Grindelwald asked, making an even more surprising remark.
"What do you think?" I glared at Gellert Grindelwald with a fierce look in my eyes. If looks could kill, Gellert Grindelwald would have died a thousand times over.
“My brother is really capable. Perhaps we can entrust the task of ensuring the continuation of the family line to you?” Gellert Grindelwald felt liberated.
"Have you gone mad from being in jail? Can't you figure out my sexual orientation? Besides, haven't I been dead for a long time? I'm not even on the family tree anymore." I told Gellert Grindelwald a cruel truth: my empty coffin in the family shrine was probably overgrown with weeds.
"Then it's all over. It seems like we have the same sexual orientation, so we can be childless." Although Gellert Grindelwald didn't win back his lover, they both disliked women, so the Grindelwald family line really was going to end.
"Isn't this something that can be easily handled? You should take a good look at it and see if you can create a system where men can have babies. Bro, you can try it out first." I gave Gellert Grindelwald a great suggestion.
"I haven't even won over your sister-in-law yet, how could that be?" Gellert Grindelwald was getting depressed; Albus Dumbledore was still a million miles away.
"You're the one who's so indecisive, and you even have to play the jail scene. Why don't you just use your handsome face to confront him directly, force yourself on him, give him a deep kiss or something, and once he's infatuated, feelings will naturally follow, right?" I looked at Gellert Grindelwald with a look of utter disappointment.
"Is this how you teach your brother to seduce his sister-in-law?" Gellert Grindelwald thought to himself, "You're really telling the truth about this."
"Otherwise, wouldn't your feelings have faded after being separated for so many years?" Unlike me, you don't have a system that allows me to see the numbers and salvage things. For someone like my brother, who waits and waits, a deep kiss and a good night's sleep are much faster.
“Who said that? We get along great.” Gellert Grindelwald stubbornly refused to admit it.
"You're so good to me that I don't even come to see you often, yet you've been stuck in one place in jail for so long." I picked up a small pastry and put it in my mouth.
This time, Gellert Grindelwald had nothing to say in rebuttal. His lover really did keep him in that tower and didn't want to see him, even though he wrote many letters to him, he rarely replied.
Gellert Grindelwald began to reflect on whether he truly no longer loved his brother, as his brother had suggested.
