Chapter 12 An Encounter in the Library
Chapter 12 An Encounter in the Library
The first day of classes is finally over, and I plan to spend the rest of the time in the library.
I strolled leisurely to the library with the books I wanted to read.
This library is truly magnificent, with three floors high. It seems that the books for senior students are all located at the top. Watching the upperclassmen sitting around with brooms taking books, I found a well-lit spot to sit down and took out the potions book I had prepared beforehand, flipping through it at a glance.
Percy Weasley had actually noticed Ayers when he appeared in the library, but he didn't know how to start a conversation with him. Ayers was a Slytherin, while he was a Gryffindor, and Gryffindors and Slytherins had always been at odds. He was a little unsure of what to do.
[Jin: Ding—Target Percy Weasley]
Discuss potion-related knowledge with him.
Rewards: 100 Bond Points, 100 Experience Points, 10 Favorability Points, 1 Luck Point.
"Senior, I don't quite understand this. Could you explain it to me?" Actually, I noticed Percy at first glance. Looking at his awkwardness, it was kind of cute.
Just as Jin was on his mission, I smiled and struck up a conversation with him.
Percy knew that he couldn't talk in the library, so he wrote his thoughts in his notebook and handed it to Ayers.
She reached out and took the paper he handed her, took out a quill pen from her backpack, wrote her understanding on it, and handed it back to him with a smile.
We continued to discuss our insights on the potion on paper, back and forth, until the sun set and it gradually got dark.
Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Percy felt that the question Ayers asked was coincidentally exactly what he had learned that day and what he had to do for homework.
"Alright, senior, I feel I've learned a lot today. It's getting late, so I might have to excuse myself." After writing this at the end of the paper, I picked up my books, smiled slightly at Percy, and left.
Percy gathered up all the papers he and Ayles had just written on and looked at them. Seeing their back-and-forth conversation and Ayles's messy yet domineering handwriting, he felt a little complicated for some reason.
[Jin: Ding—Target Percy Weasley]
The discussion with him about potions has been completed.
Rewards: 100 Bond Points, 100 Experience Points, 10 Favorability Points, 1 Luck Point.
As Jin left the library, his system voice sounded. He put the books back in his portable backpack and headed towards the auditorium, where he planned to have dinner that evening.
When I arrived at the hall, I felt several people staring at me.
Severus, sitting in the teachers' seat, hadn't expected to see that figure again tonight, but halfway through his meal, he caught sight of that smiling little monstrous emerald-green eye.
She nodded slightly toward the teachers' table and walked to the back of the Slytherin table, not wanting to be with those little brats.
Why isolate someone so young? It's ridiculous. Isolation is something I already did in my past life.
Besides Severus's gaze, there was another pair of eyes at the Gryffindor table, and another pair at the Hufflepuffs' table; you could guess who it was without even looking.
She sat down gracefully and tapped the table lightly.
"Please give me a plate of fried rice with egg and a bowl of seaweed soup, thank you." In just a moment, what I needed appeared. The people who were staring at me were all surprised. What was Ayers eating? Why was what they were eating different from his?
"Ayers, what is this? It smells so good." Fred happened to come into the hall at that moment, saw me as soon as he came in, and strolled over to sit on my left.
“Yes, yes, Ayers, what is this? It looks delicious.” George didn’t stand on ceremony and plopped down on my right.
"This is called fried rice with seaweed soup. I just taught the house-elves how to make it today. If you want to try it, you can order like I do." I was just about to eat when I saw the twins looking so dirty. What happened to them? It felt like they had rolled around on the ground.
Feeling particularly annoyed, she took out two handkerchiefs and frowned as she wiped them down.
This is how I was in my past life. I was the eldest in my family and always had to take care of my younger siblings. When I saw the Geminis looking so dirty, I couldn't help myself and took a handkerchief to help them clean up.
"Delicious, delicious. Fred, you should try it, this food from Ayers is really delicious." While I was cleaning up Fred's food, George was secretly eating.
"George, wait for me, I want some too." Having appeased Fred,
I made George wash his face and hands.
"Why are you two taking mine? Just order two more." After dealing with them, I finished my own dinner.
Looking at the shiny plate in front of him, at that speed, was he a starving ghost reincarnated?
Percy, who had just finished packing his things and came from the library, was speechless when he saw this scene. Who was their older brother? It seemed like Ayers had stolen his two younger brothers.
For some reason, the others who were staring at them all felt a little envious of the Gemini.
“Sorry, I’ll take them with me now.” Percy pulled the twins back to the Gryffindor table, one in each arm.
Smiling as she watched the three leave, she had her house-elf prepare another plate of fried rice and seaweed soup. After slowly finishing her meal, she left to return to her dormitory.
On the way back after leaving the hall, I saw an unexpected person.
Cedric Diggory was actually waiting for me here.
“Junior, Ayersholm, I found your notebook. I was going to return it to you at noon, but you didn’t show up for lunch in the auditorium.” Cedric Diggory handed me the black notebook he had found that day.
"Thank you, senior. I heard your shapeshifting technique is quite good. I wonder if we could discuss it sometime?" He took the notebook that he had intentionally dropped, and that gave him the opportunity to arrange a meeting.
“Sure, it’s getting late. How about we meet this Saturday? I might be at the library all day.” Cedric Diggory was also a top student, and how could he possibly refuse a junior who needed his help?
"Okay, senior. If I'm free that day, I'll come to the library to find you." That way, my task is settled.
The two walked together to a certain point and then parted ways, since everyone's rest area was different.
When I was about to return to the lounge, I was surprised to see Coach Stalin standing there waiting for me.
"Severus, were you waiting for me?" he said with a smile as he approached Severus.
“Ayers, these are your books. Read them and then tell me.” For some reason, Severus’s expression and tone of voice softened whenever he saw this little troll with emerald eyes.
"Severus, thank you." Intuition told me that my current level of affection allowed me to start saying something more intimate.
[Jin: Ding—Target: Severus Snape. Give Severus Snape a wall slam.]
Rewards: 100 Bond Points, 100 Experience Points, 10 Favorability Points, 1 Luck Point.
(Jin, is this exciting? Are you issuing such intimate missions so quickly?)
[Jin: Host, this isn't considered fast. Your affinity with your target, Severus Snape, has already reached over 60, so you can start having some intimate interactions. Also, host, have you forgotten about the Lucky Draw system?]
(Jin, I almost forgot about this if you hadn't mentioned it. I'll go check it out when I have time.)
"Ayers, go back and rest. I'm leaving too." Severus's ears, hidden under his hair, seemed a little hot, and his heart seemed to be beating too fast, but he could only pretend to be calm.
"Okay, Siever (wife)" Suddenly realizing that calling Siever's name was so cute~ She smiled and watched Siever run away as if she was being tsundere. This tsundere attitude was so cute, wasn't it?
