Some of the resources I have are renewable, such as medical tents and fire element scrolls that were originally intended for Kael'thas to research. These can be lent out.
Even if the price is right, the medical tent can be sold, since it's only worth 750 units of gold, and you can buy it indefinitely.
“Oh! That’s quite interesting to me. What kind of reward are you planning to offer? Ordinary money won’t sway me,” Kael’thas said.
"First of all, there are these medical tents. No matter how serious the injury, as long as the person doesn't die on the spot, even if they've lost an arm or a leg."
"You can recover after entering. Your Highness, what do you think of this medical tent?" Rhodes first took out the medical tent.
"It looks rather rudimentary. As for its healing abilities, I don't think they're particularly valuable. The limb regeneration feature, however, is quite interesting," Kael'thas said.
The priests of Quel'Thalas are skilled in Holy Light and produce top-tier potent healing potions, so they have no shortage of healing items.
The tent didn't look particularly fancy, and it didn't fit the elves' aesthetic standards.
The only thing that interested him was limb regeneration.
“Don’t underestimate it, Your Highness. As long as you don’t die on the spot, it can bring you back to life. Its effects are far superior to holy light or ordinary healing potions,” Rhodes said.
Chapter 64: Kai's Strength, Upgraded Version of Fiery Element
That guy didn't even notice the medical tent! He has no taste whatsoever!
Although it doesn't look as appealing, the medical tent is definitely more effective than Holy Light Healing Potion or a shaman's healing totem.
“Master Kael’thas, Rhodes has already demonstrated its power to me. If you don’t believe me, you can bring a seriously injured person over to test it,” Jaina said.
“Hmm! I’ll have someone come and test it out. If it’s really as amazing as you say, then it’s not impossible for me to take action,” Kael’thas said.
With Jaina present, Kael'thas didn't want to appear too arrogant, so he summoned his maid and added a few words of encouragement.
He happened to have a veteran under his command who was disabled, so he asked him to give it a try!
Soon, a male high elf missing an arm appeared before them.
"Your Highness, you wanted to see me?"
"You've come to Dox. Your arm was cut off by the trolls during the Second Great War."
"My friend showed me a new healing magic item that supposedly can regenerate severed limbs, and I'd like you to try it out." Kael'thas nodded to the high elf man before him and then explained the situation.
"The eternal sun guides us, Your Highness Prince Kael'thas!"
"If my severed hand could truly be healed, that would be wonderful, but I've already given up much hope. Even the power of holy light can't heal me," the elven man named Dox sighed.
"Give it a try, maybe a miracle will happen."
Kael'thas turned to Rhodes, indicating that Rhodes could begin.
Rhodes immediately unfolded the miniature magical tent in his hand, which then transformed into a white tent large enough for one person to lie down inside.
To be honest, such magical items that can change size might seem strange to humans, but to high elves, they have nothing to brag about; they have far too many of these amazing magical items.
"How to do it exactly?"
“Just lie down in it!” Rhodes said.
The high elf man nodded upon hearing this, and then lay down in the medical tent as Rhodes instructed.
Immediately, the curtain of the medical tent was drawn, a green light shone, and a life force appeared.
A few minutes later, the tent flap was pulled open again, and the elf man named Dox came out. This time, his arm had grown back and was completely intact.
“It’s incredible, Your Highness. My hand has grown back, and I feel my body is full of vitality. It’s a life energy.”
"Congratulations, Dox. You can rejoin my guard. Now go and rest! Get used to your new arm." Kael'thas nodded in satisfaction and waved for his men to leave.
The high elf named Dox bowed to Kael'thas, then greeted Rhodes and Jaina before departing.
“Baron Rhodes, and Jaina, I admit I underestimated this amazing magical creation. It is indeed very powerful,” Kael'thas said, looking at Rhodes and Jaina.
Unexpectedly, this extremely simple-looking and unglamorous object is actually a magical artifact that can utilize life energy.
No wonder it can regenerate severed limbs. If we could figure out its magical principles, it would be extremely important to Quel'Thalas.
"I'm glad you're satisfied. So, Your Highness, do you think this item is up to standard?" Rhodes said with a slight smile.
“Of course, but I’d like to see the second gift. Could you show it to me, Baron Rhodes?” Kael’thas said.
“Of course! Your Highness will be very interested in the second item, which is a scroll that can summon fire elementals.” Rhodes said, taking out a magic scroll that could summon fire elementals.
"It has a very peculiar function: as long as you have enough magic power, you can cast this spell even if you don't know the spell itself!"
"But the moment you obtain this magic scroll, you will also learn how to use the spell, and you can use your own magic to summon fire elementals that exist for 24 hours to fight for you." Rhode explained the magic scroll's abilities.
To everyone's surprise, Kael'thas let out a slight, contemptuous laugh.
He thought it was something amazing, but it turned out to be a magic scroll that could summon fire elementals!
Is this thing really that amazing? I am the greatest fire mage in the world of Azeroth.
He could easily open the Fire Elemental Plane himself; in fact, the High Elves opened paths to the Fire Elemental Plane multiple times, then forcibly summoned various fire elemental creatures from within and enslaved them with magic.
"There's no need to bring out something like that, Baron Rhodes. Didn't Lady Gina tell you that I'm the most powerful fire mage in Azeroth?"
I have a phoenix from the elemental plane of fire; this little trick of temporarily summoning fire elementals is no big deal to me.
“Give it a try, Your Highness. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.” Rhodes handed the enormous magic scroll to Kael’thas.
My fire element is different from the fire element you know.
Upon hearing this, Kael'thas glanced at Rhodes, recalling the medical tent from before, then nodded and accepted the magic scroll, hoping it might truly bring him a pleasant surprise.
The moment Kael'thas received the magic scroll, a spell automatically appeared in his mind.
He summons fire elementals who obey his commands completely using his own magic. The number and strength of the fire elementals are calculated based on the strength of his magic.
This moment piqued Kael'thas's interest. He no longer needed to exert any effort; he could directly use his mana to condense fire elementals. He certainly had some skill in this.
I wonder how many fire elementals will be summoned, and how strong they will be? I hope they won't disappoint me!
Kael'thas infused the magic scroll with mana and then cast the summoning spell.
After a burst of red light, a total of 40 elemental creatures, each about 4 meters tall and shimmering with blue electrons, appeared on the spot.
Rhodes was horrified the moment he saw these creatures.
Holy crap! The elemental that Kai summoned wasn't a fire elemental, but an upgraded version of the Blazing Fire Elemental.
Unlike fire elementals, he is a true flying unit, and possesses teleportation abilities similar to those of demons.
Fire elementals can cast magical fire spells and are immune to fire magic and mind magic.
Uther can summon mutated versions of the Holy Light elementals, while Kael'thas summons upgraded versions of the Fire elementals?
“This is truly an eye-opener for me, Baron Rhodes. Your magic scroll is quite interesting.”
Chapter 65 Kai's Surprise, Powerful Fire Element
“However, these don’t seem to be simple fire elemental creatures; I sensed powerful lightning energy emanating from them,” Kael’thas said.
After summoning these strange elemental creatures, he established a connection with them, enabling him to fly at high speeds and even teleport short distances.
These elemental beings will absolutely obey your commands, even if Kael'thas orders them to commit suicide.
They possess no intelligence whatsoever; they are simply elemental life forms condensed from their own magical power.
To be honest, the number summoned also startled Kael'thas. He originally thought he would only summon two or three! But he didn't expect to summon a full 40!
"Indeed amazing, Your Highness Prince Kael'thas. These creatures are an evolved version of fire elementals, called Fire Elementals. They are far more powerful than fire elementals, both in attack and defense, and they can even cast a spell called the Flame Rebirth Technique, which reduces the target unit's damage from fire spells by more than 25%."
Furthermore, because they are elemental beings, they are not afraid of any mental magic or fire elemental magic.
The Fire Elemental is a very powerful upgraded unit, and its practicality is indeed much higher than that of the regular Fire Elemental. The value of flying units is enormous.
What's more, this guy's ability is teleportation, and he can also cast spells. He's got some skills; no wonder he's the strongest fire mage in the world of Azeroth.
Kael'thas doesn't have the fire magic bonus from the Heroes of Might and Magic series, so his power is only enough to summon two fire elementals, but this guy summoned a whopping 40.
So if Kai's power were converted into Heroes of Might and Magic, it would be at least around 20 points. No wonder he is the strongest fire mage!
Jaina was also astonished, not expecting Kael'thas to be so powerful that he could summon an upgraded version of the fire elemental, just like the holy light elementals summoned by Lord Uther.
"He can also cast spells on his own, and he's immune to fire magic and mind magic? That's truly remarkable," Kael'thas nodded and said.
This spell is very powerful, almost maximizing the use of one's magical power. If it were on the battlefield, summoning 40 of these guys at once could deal a devastating blow to the enemy.
The fact that they can cast spells that reduce some of the fire damage is already quite impressive.
And their movement methods are truly outrageous! That almost teleportation ability, using it to kill important enemy backline units, is incredibly satisfying.
"However, these fire elemental creatures also have some weaknesses. Whether they are fire elementals or fire elementals, they are afraid of water magic, but they will deal double the damage to water magic creatures," Rhodes said.
Just like angels hate demons and black dragons hate Titans, increasing damage by 50%, although water magic doubles the damage against fire elementals, this thing also increases the damage against water elementals by 50%.
The world of Azeroth has many more aquatic creatures, such as a certain deep-sea Naga, or some small murlocs.
"This minor flaw is acceptable, after all, fire can also restrain water when it is strong."
Kael'thas was quite satisfied with the 40 fire elementals he had summoned, as Rhodes had just said that as long as he had enough mana.
If any mage can cast this spell, and Jaina can cast it too, what about her minions?
Upon realizing this, Kael'thas immediately waved his hand.
"Disna! Come in here for a moment."
Upon hearing this, the female high elf who had just greeted Rhodes and Jaina at the door immediately came in.
This is a female elf with a very tall and voluptuous figure, perfect curves, long fiery red hair, and a beautiful face.
"Your Highness, you wanted to see me?"
"Disna, why don't you try this magical scroll and see if you can cast a spell to summon a fire elemental?" Kael'thas said, handing Disna the fire elemental summoning scroll.
This female elf named Disna was no ordinary maid; she was a top fire mage from Quel'Thalas, and perhaps the most powerful high elf fire mage in all of Dalaran besides herself.
"Summoning fire elementals? It's Your Highness." Disna nodded upon hearing this and reached out to take the scroll.
After receiving the magic scroll, the female elf, like Kael'thas, instantly learned the spell and summoned 12 fire elementals.
These are not fire elementals, but rather a basic version of fire elementals, and their numbers are incomparable to those summoned by Kael'thas before.
"Not bad, a very magical scroll!" Kael'thas nodded in satisfaction as he looked at the 12 fire elementals summoned by Disna.
