Luo Xiu said irritably.
"Ha, what a dishonest brat."
Old White went behind the counter, took out two tea bags, and prepared to make tea.
"Just find a seat."
Two high chairs were placed in front of the counter, and Luo Xiu moved one over and sat opposite old White.
But just as he sat down, old White's expression suddenly changed.
He looked at Luo Xiu with a meaningful gaze:
"You didn't just kill goblins this time, did you?"
"I also killed a few slimes."
Luo Xiu looked completely calm.
Old White smiled after hearing this, pushed a cup of tea he had just brewed towards Luo Xiu, and said:
"I'm old, and my nose isn't working well anymore. I didn't even smell any blood on you when we were outside. It wasn't the kind of blood that comes from monsters."
Luo Xiu took the teacup, smelled the aroma wafting from it, and remained expressionless.
"I ran into a few idiots."
"You young people are just living too well and like to waste things."
Old White picked up his teacup and took a small sip:
"You can bring your next shipment to me; there's absolutely no need to kill it."
Luo Xiu smiled upon hearing this and also picked up his teacup to take a small sip.
The tea in this world is somewhat similar to the Western tea of the original world; it has a tea aroma but not much tea flavor.
With a slight pout, Luo Xiu began to speak:
"Some people are just born bad; the only solution is to kill them."
Old White laughed:
"I, Old White, have lived for so many years and seen so much, but I've never seen anyone who can't be a genuine product."
"Then I'll bring you a few next time, as long as you can take them."
After Luo Xiu finished speaking, a thought suddenly struck him, and he said:
“Old White, you say you’ve seen and experienced a lot, but do you know how to leave Wheel Town?”
"of course I know."
Old White answered without hesitation.
"How to leave?"
Luo Xiu asked excitedly.
"Go to Bandanda."
"..."
Luo Xiu's excitement subsided:
"What if we don't go to Bandanda?"
"If we don't go to Bandanda, we'll head towards Red Mushroom Town and then to Kanriel City, but I heard there's been a recent outbreak there."
Old White looked at Luo Xiu, who looked dejected.
"What's wrong with you? Are you afraid of war? Didn't I tell you, it's unlikely to be war, don't worry."
Luo Xiu had no choice but to stop arguing about the matter after hearing this.
He sipped his tea slowly, deciding to wait here for Leila to arrive before heading to Sunset Jungle to level up.
Since there's no other way, the safest path now is to strengthen our own capabilities.
However, when it comes to increasing strength...
"Old White, have you ever heard of a universal skill book?"
He looked at old White across from him.
"I've heard of it; I have a copy."
Old White took a sip of tea.
Luo Xiu's eyes widened. He had only wanted to ask Old White about the General Skills Book, but he never expected to hear that Old White had one.
"Are you sure?"
Luo Xiu confirmed.
"I never lie."
Old White looked serious.
"..."
Luo Xiu suspected that this statement was not true.
Seeing Luo Xiu's disbelief, old White became somewhat angry and said:
"Wait here, I'll go get it for you! You really shouldn't have questioned my little Luo Xiu. When you see it, I hope you'll apologize to me."
After saying that, old White got up and walked towards the door at the very back of the house.
"No peeking!!"
He gave a special warning before entering.
Luo Xiu sighed slightly. Sometimes he really felt that there should be more trust between him and Old White.
Thinking this, his gaze drifted toward the door on the right.
……
When old White came out through the last door, he not only had a skill book in his hand, but also a parrot on his shoulder.
Luo Xiu looked at the parrot, secretly on guard.
He still vividly remembered the scene when this parrot slandered him last time.
Fortunately, the parrot was very quiet this time, simply sitting quietly on old White's shoulder, preening its colorful feathers.
Old White handed the skill book to Luo Xiu and gave a cold smile:
"Look."
Luo Xiu took the skill book, opened it, and the familiar words "Universal Skill Book" appeared before his eyes.
This skill book is called "Slavery".
They can forcibly enslave some low-intelligence creatures, and can also sign enslavement contracts with the consent of higher-level creatures such as humans.
Luo Xiu suppressed his excitement:
"Can you sell me this skill book?"
“This is the only thing my grandfather left me. If I sell it, I don’t know how I will face my grandfather in heaven.”
Old White's eyes glistened with tears as he turned his back.
"You have to pay more."
Luo Xiu looked at old White suspiciously, suspecting the old man was secretly laughing behind his back.
"How many?"
"5000 copper coins!"
Old White turned around quickly and held up five fingers:
No bargaining!
"Are you so obsessed with copper coins that you're practically crazy?"
Luo Xiu knew from a moment's thought that the old man had raised the price, after all, the chestnut-haired man named Mike didn't seem like someone who could come up with 5000 copper coins.
He was just about to haggle a bit when suddenly, he felt a sudden silence around him.
That was the discomfort caused by the sudden disappearance of a long period of noise.
He walked quickly to the shop entrance and looked out through a small window in the door.
Outside, a group of people knelt down in unison.
The wandering merchants and residents of Wheel Town who had just been haggling over prices were now kneeling on the ground, bowing to the people in front of them.
A man and a woman stood in front of them.
The man was tall and had brown hair. He was dressed in extremely luxurious clothes, a close-fitting uniform with embroidered cuffs and gold buttons. He was clearly not an ordinary person.
The woman was tall with long legs, wearing a white high-slit skirt, and had an extremely indifferent expression. She carried a bow and arrow made of olive branches on her back.
What is most striking about her is her ears; the pointed tips of her ears clearly indicate her status.
An elf.

"What's wrong?"
Old White squeezed in from the side, taking away half of Luo Xiu's view.
"Oh, it's Lord Frey and his squire."
After glancing at it, old White stopped looking and sat back down behind the counter.
"Frey?"
Luo Xiu turned around in confusion.
“Luo Xiu, you should really subscribe to the town’s daily newspaper. It only costs 3 copper coins a month, and you can find out the names of the Bandanda Lord’s family in the ‘Bantanda News’ column.”
