Chapter 49 Peter Parker is Spider-Man
Chapter 49 Peter Parker is Spider-Man
inside the car.
Peter Parker sat in the corner like a well-behaved baby.
He dared not look directly at the underground emperor before him.
Mark glanced at the time.
"Take me to school first."
Kingpin nodded. "Okay, let's talk as we walk."
He instructed the driver to start the car, and then smiled slightly at Peter Parker.
"You're Mark's brother, right?"
"Yes...yes." Peter Parker was startled again.
He kept his head down.
Kingpin, however, took a gift box from the passenger seat.
"We're all family now, this is a gift for you."
"mine?"
Peter looked surprised, but his hand didn't move at all.
He glanced at Mark beside him.
Mark's face had already darkened.
"What the hell is this family?!"
He cursed and said, "You fatso, don't think I don't know what you're up to."
Mark crossed his arms and glared at the other man. "Only a mental hospital would have someone like you who likes to randomly claim relatives."
Kingpin said with a serious expression, "I'm serious."
Mark scoffed, "Do you really think I'm a fool?"
He raised his hand, and a ray of holy light emanated from his palm.
Peter thought Mark was about to attack, and his body stiffened instantly.
Kingpin, however, didn't care at all.
He rested his hands on the scepter, a slight smile appearing on his serious face.
"You are very cautious; the entire underground kingdom has failed to impress you."
Mark clenched his fist, and the holy light in his palm dissipated.
"This isn't caution, it's self-awareness."
He looked the other person in the eye and said, "How could you possibly hand over the underground kingdom that you've built with so much effort to someone you've only met once?"
"That's right."
Kingpin seems to no longer hide himself.
He laughed loudly, "Hahaha, very good, I admire you more and more."
"Tell me your real purpose," Mark said.
Kingpin's laughter stopped. "I need your magical powers."
Don't be surprised, I know there are monks in the world.
"So?" Mark's expression remained unchanged.
Kingpin gripped the scepter tightly and took a deep breath.
"Only the power of magic can take me back to the past and let me see my wife and children again."
Mark smiled upon hearing this.
"You?"
"Yes, me."
Kingpin slowly clenched his fist, his bones cracking crisply.
He said with certainty, "Although I don't have superpowers, the strength I've honed through countless days and nights is my superpower."
Mark's palm shone brightly once more.
Kingpin suddenly loosened his fist and put on what he thought was a friendly smile again.
"But now is not the time to fight you. You still have time to think it over."
Mark also dispelled the holy light in his hand.
"Yes, you still have time to consider it," he said, seemingly out of nowhere.
But Kingpin understood.
He didn't speak.
For a moment, the two of them looked out the window at the same time.
Before long, the vehicle slowly drove into Imperial University.
After Mark and Peter got out of the car, King did not hesitate at all and told the driver to drive away.
During this process, he did not continue to probe Mark.
Peter watched Kingpin's car drive away and finally let out a sigh of relief.
"What a scary guy, Mark. What did you mean by what you just said?" he asked.
Mark waved his hand. "It's nothing, nothing important."
From the moment Kingpin suddenly decided to become a father, Mark suspected that Kingpin's motives were impure.
Sure enough, when Mark exposed everything, Kim did not deny it.
But in any case, this is not bad for Mark.
To negotiate with a tiger for its skin, the prerequisite is that the other party must first become a tiger.
In a flash, Mark looked at Peter.
"Take me to complete the enrollment procedures!"
"Hmm, I remember it's this way."
Half an hour later, Mark successfully enrolled and became Peter's junior in the first year.
Meanwhile, thanks to Ben Parker, Mark was exceptionally admitted as Dr. Otto's student.
"Good news, Mark, Dr. Otto is going to teach us today how to calculate the tritium needed for the artificial sun experiment."
Upon receiving the news, Peter quickly pulled Mark to Dr. Otto's laboratory.
At this moment, the laboratory was packed with people.
Here, Mark saw a familiar figure.
"Hey, you're here too." He patted Gwen on the shoulder.
Gwen turned around and was somewhat surprised to see Mark.
"Did Peter bring you here?" She glanced at Peter Parker.
Mark smiled. "I'm your junior now."
Gwen was overjoyed upon hearing this.
"Great! I can tutor you from now on."
Mark rolled his eyes. "Don't underestimate my learning ability."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Dr. Otto, standing in front of the blackboard, suddenly pointed at Mark and said:
"This student, please demonstrate the formula for calculating the tritium element needed for the experiment."
mark:"......."
"I can't." He straightened his back.
Gwen: "......."
Dr. Otto smiled slightly, "A very honest student, don't come to my lecture next time."
Before Mark could speak, Peter Parker quickly stood up.
"Dr. Otto, I can try, please don't send Mark away," he pleaded anxiously.
"Mark Parker?"
Dr. Otto's expression shifted slightly. "Oh, I see. I understand why first-year students don't understand."
Okay, Peter, you give it a try. Don't be nervous.
He brought Peter to the blackboard and looked at Peter with satisfaction as he got into the zone.
Everyone likes an outstanding student.
He is too.
Mark, watching this scene, was speechless.
According to the Marvel universe, anyone who hasn't mastered advanced technology by the age of fourteen must be mentally challenged.
Yes, he's the mentally challenged one.
Half an hour later, Mark finally made it through his first class of the semester.
Playing games is more fun than going to school.
He wanted to find a secluded place to enter the game, but Peter dragged him into the laboratory next door.
"Mark, I'll tell you a secret."
Peter skillfully blended several materials perfectly using the laboratory equipment, and then condensed them into a white liquid.
He showed off his work, but Mark looked down on it.
"Huh? Is this what you secreted?"
Peter shook his head. "I'm not kidding you."
As he spoke, he took out a device he had prepared beforehand and poured the liquid into it.
He then put the device on his wrist.
"call out!"
With a flick of his wrist, the liquid substance shot out and reacted with the air, then transformed into spiderweb-like white threads that stuck tightly to the test tube not far away.
"come over!"
Peter flicked his wrist again, and the test tube was drawn into his palm by the spider silk.
"Mark, what do you think? This is artificial spider silk that I developed by imitating Spider-Man's superpowers," Peter said proudly.
mark:"........"
He glanced at Peter sideways. "You're funny."
Is it strange that Spider-Man can shoot webs?
Peter also looked at Mark and winked at him.
"It's very humorous."
He believed that with his and Mark's understanding, the other party would definitely know what he wanted to say.
However, this scene was witnessed by Jenny, who was passing by the door.
His eyes widened, his face filled with disbelief.
Peter Parker, that softie, is actually Spider-Man!
