Chapter 272 The Most Beautiful Art
The earthen shadow building in Yanyin Village.
Qingrou, barefoot, was washing the stone in the middle of a pool.
Before you know it, the stone flew off and landed in the pool.
"Ugh... I have to pick up another stone to scrub again. Why did I have to ask her to do this? It's so boring!"
Qingrou complained as she bent down to pick up a stone to scrub, since they all looked the same anyway, so who could tell the difference?
Suddenly a large hand appeared in front of her, and upon seeing the ring on the hand, Qingrou immediately guessed who it was.
"Deidara, why are you back? You still dare to come here? You'll be in big trouble when Onoki comes."
Qingrou grabbed Deidara's hand and hid it under a nearby desk.
Deidara let her pull him along without resisting at all.
The two squatted down together, and Qingrou asked softly, "Deidara, is there something you need to do after you came back this time?"
"Have we run out of clay again?"
"By the way, do you have any money on you? I'll give you some, after all, you have three mouths to feed."
As Qingrou spoke, she reached out and touched herself, then suddenly collapsed onto Deidara.
"Qingrou, you big idiot, couldn't it be that I missed you and that's why I came back???" Deidara's face was full of dissatisfaction.
"And what do you mean by 'three mouths to feed'?!"
Did you peek at me while I was showering?
"Otherwise, how did you know... um?" Deidara grabbed her soft, boneless hand, his face full of accusation.
Qingrou was stunned for a moment, then quickly covered his mouth, "Deidara, keep your voice down."
"Okay." Deidara removed his hand from her mouth, kissed her palm, and blushed slightly.
"What the hell are you doing? You don't want me to grow a mouth on my palm, do you?!" Qingrou pulled her hand back, looking terrified.
Upon hearing this, Deidara's forehead creased with annoyance. "That big idiot, can't he realize he likes her?"
He took a deep breath and was about to speak when footsteps came from inside the room.
Qingrou reached out a finger and pressed it against Deidara's lips, signaling him with her eyes to be quiet.
"You big idiot, do you even know what you're doing!" The warm touch made Deidara's blush, which had just faded, return.
In this scene, he misses the time he spent with Qingrou.
He had already discussed it with the leader of Akatsuki. He would leave the organization once he had collected all the tailed beasts, and then he would never be separated from Qingrou again.
Deidara pulled her into his arms, his face full of longing, and said, "Qingrou, you must wait for me. You can't fall in love with anyone else."
This action startled Qingrou, causing her to bump her head and get a bump. Fortunately, the person who had just entered the room had already left, otherwise the two of them would definitely have been discovered.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch..." Qingrou rubbed her head, not forgetting to put her hand on Deidara's forehead. "Deidara, you don't have a fever, so why are you saying such strange things since you came back this time?"
"Qingrou, I told you you're a big idiot and you didn't believe me. I have something very important to tell you when I came back this time." Deidara rubbed the spot where she had bumped her head with a look of heartache.
"What's wrong? Are you not planning to leave?" Qingrou's face was full of joy.
Once Deidara returns, that old geezer Onoki will definitely find someone else to torture her, and she will finally be able to escape her misery.
Deidara thought to himself, "Qingrou really doesn't want him to leave."
After a long pause, he finally spoke, "Don't worry, Qingrou, I'll be back by your side soon. I won't go anywhere else, and I absolutely cannot fall in love with anyone else. You can only be mine."
"What? You're leaving again?" Qingrou's face was visibly unhappy.
"Oh no, she's not really going to inherit the Tsuchikage position, is she?!" She lay on Deidara, secretly punching him and gritting her teeth, "Deidara, you're so mean."
Why can he live a carefree life outside while she has to work hard in Iwagakure? It's so infuriating!
Qingrou got angrier the more she thought about it and punched him again.
"Qingrou, I have something to give you, please don't be angry!" Deidara said, enduring the pain as he apologized.
"What is this? If it doesn't satisfy me, then serve it!" Qingrou looked at him and gestured with her fist.
“You’ll definitely like it.” Deidara pulled a doll out of his pocket and handed it to her. “Qingrou, this is the most beautiful work of art in my heart. Do you like it?” His eyes were full of expectation, waiting for her praise.
"The most beautiful work of art?" Qingrou took it with a look of doubt.
The moment she saw the doll, her face darkened. "Isn't that her?"
"What does this have to do with art?!"
"Although the sculpture is incredibly lifelike, there's absolutely no connection between the two!"
"Or...is this guy trying to win against her by sending her this gift, hoping to blow her up?" She wasn't about to let him have his way.
Qingrou shoved the doll back into Deidara's hands. "Here you go... I don't like it."
Upon hearing this, Deidara's face instantly turned aggrieved as he accused, "Qingrou, why don't you like it? Is it because my sculpt isn't realistic enough?"
He looked up at Qingrou and examined her carefully. It did seem quite different. Qingrou was even more beautiful than she was three months ago. No wonder she didn't like her.
Deidara pursed his lips. "Qingrou, I don't care, you have to accept it. I'll make an even prettier one for you next time."
"And this jade pendant you're wearing is a gift you gave me in return."
He forcefully placed the doll into Qingrou's hands and carefully took the jade pendant from her waist and put it in his bosom.
"Good heavens, he actually coveted the jade pendant on her." Qingrou glanced at him speechlessly, then looked at the doll in her hand that looked just like her. Qingrou smiled and said, "Actually, this doll is quite pretty, and she likes it very much."
The two were on completely different wavelengths, yet they clicked remarkably well.
Until it got dark.
Qingrou quietly left Iwagakure with Deidara.
"Deidara, don't be stubborn if you can't beat someone. I'll be waiting for you to come back."
"This is the clay I prepared for you. Keep it safe."
"Enough for you to use for a long time."
"Also, do you really have enough money? Do you want me to give you some?"
Listening to Qingrou's nagging instructions, Deidara hugged her tightly, his voice full of reluctance, "Qingrou, I will remember your words. You must take good care of yourself. I will be back soon."
"Wait for me to come back and marry you..." Deidara added in his heart.
The two parted reluctantly.
However, Deidara was reluctant to part with Qingrou, while Qingrou was reluctant to see Deidara leave to do hard labor, as she would have to work hard again.
Watching Deidara's departing figure, Qingrou turned and walked towards Iwagakure.
Onoki witnessed this scene. He knew that Deidara would come back every now and then, and that he had changed quite a bit. He was quite pleased with this and let them go their own way.
