Chapter 174 Normal?
Chapter 174 Normal?
In the Daimyo's mansion in the Land of Fire, Uchiha Shisui had not been by the Daimyo's side for three days.
Whenever he thought about what happened that day, his mind was filled with that smooth, fair back.
"Lord Shisui, Your Majesty requests your presence," a servant called out respectfully from outside.
"Okay, I'll be right there." He replied, got up, and walked towards the door. "We always have to face it eventually."
Before long, Hua Ling saw Zhi Shui walking towards her from afar. "Great Master, what brings you here?"
Hua Ling pretended to look at the documents in her hand, "It's nothing, I just wanted to know how much longer you're going to stay in your room."
"Also, don't worry about what happened that day. We're all men, it's nothing."
Who would have thought that while she was taking a bath, her true form didn't give any warning. The First Hokage's cells successfully fused, and a large amount of chakra suddenly burst out from her body. This caused Shisui, who was waiting outside, to notice the commotion. Thinking that an assassin had come, he rushed in.
Fortunately, she reacted quickly and put on her clothes.
Shisui lowered his eyes, thinking of that figure from behind. He simply didn't believe that Daimyo was a man. Since she was unwilling to admit it, he naturally wouldn't reveal it.
Hua Ling seemed to remember something, and looked up at Zhi Shui, "I'm going out to check on things in Xidi. Do you want to come with me?"
"Okay, I'll go get ready." Zhi Shui agreed; how could he possibly let her go out alone?
"Zhishui, wait a moment. I'm going to travel as a commoner this time," Hua Ling suddenly remembered something and gave her a brief instruction.
Uchiha Shisui, who was about to take a step, stopped again. "Daimyo, your demeanor and appearance are completely incompatible with those of a commoner..."
Before he could finish speaking, Hua Ling interrupted him, "I don't care, you think of a way."
"Alright, go and get ready. Don't disturb me while I'm handling official business." She waved her hand, indicating that she didn't want to listen anymore.
Shisui looked helpless, knowing that once the daimyo made a decision, there would be no going back.
After arranging things, the two left Daming Prefecture and headed straight for Xidi, something they were already very familiar with.
Upon arriving at the stream, Hua Ling stood by the stream and exclaimed, "The scenery here is truly beautiful."
"Daimyo, we're still a short distance from Xidi Village," Shisui glanced at the map and reminded him.
"I understand. Now tell me what your identity is this time?" Hua Ling asked, squatting down and digging at the soil beneath her feet.
"Sister?" Upon hearing this, she turned her gaze to Zhishui.
"My name is Da Ming. This is your identity this time," Shisui stated calmly.
"Then wouldn't you be my brother?" Hua Ling looked at Zhi Shui with a half-smile.
Zhi Shui's face remained calm and expressionless, showing no reaction whatsoever.
Hua Ling felt bored, so she scooped up some damp soil and came to Zhi Shui. "Zhi Shui, rub this on my face."
"Okay." Zhi Shui obediently scooped some soil from Hua Ling's hand and smeared it on her face.
"This soil is something special. It's cool and refreshing, quite comfortable. Making mud masks to sell would probably be very good." Hua Ling's eyes lit up, and she was happy to have found a new way to make money.
"Alright." Shisui looked at his masterpiece, a hint of guilt flashing across his face.
For some reason, he was so bewitched that he mistook the name of a cat for a real name and drew a cat image.
Hua Ling was completely unaware. While Zhi Shui was in a daze, she smeared the remaining mud on her hands all over his face, laughing loudly...
Shisui snapped out of his daze, his face showing utter helplessness.
Seeing Zhishui's composure crumble, Hualing laughed even harder. She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. "Zhishui, I'm the leader of the Great Ming, so you have to listen to me. I'm going to be the older brother, so you'll become the younger sister!"
"Absolutely not, I disagree." Although she was famous, he would not budge on this matter.
"How about we pretend to be brothers? I'll be the older brother, and you'll be the younger brother," Hua Ling suggested. She wanted to hear Zhi Shui call her brother.
"The records say they're siblings." Zhi Shui's words immediately shut Hua Ling up.
"Fine, I'll listen to you this once." Hua Ling decided not to argue with him and squatted down to wash the mud off her face.
"Daimyo, let me help you!" Shisui took out a handkerchief, soaked it, and gently wiped his face, not because he was afraid that the Daimyo would find out what he had done.
Hua Ling remained obediently still, looking closely at Zhi Shui's face. Although she had smeared some mud on his face, it couldn't hide his handsome features, and her heart skipped a beat for no reason.
Zhi Shui appeared calm, but his heart was beating much faster than usual.
After he finished wiping, Hua Ling snatched the handkerchief from his hand.
Hua Ling washed herself and then helped Zhi Shui wash the dirt off her face.
"Daimyo, I can do it myself." Shisui tried to take the things from her hands.
"We're not in Daming Prefecture now, so you don't need to be so reserved." Hua Ling said as she cleaned up Zhi Shui. "So handsome!" This is definitely a perk of going out.
After cleaning up, Hua Ling returned to her original appearance. "Zhi Shui, I've changed my appearance. Change your appearance to match mine."
Zhi Shui gazed at her, his eyes sparkling. Her delicate face carried a hint of heroism, yet her facial features were remarkably soft, possessing a beauty that was both gentle and strong, making it impossible to look away. "Perhaps this is her true appearance."
He caught a glimpse of a flower on the side, squatted down to pick it, walked over to her, and tucked it behind her ear.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
"This is my 'Transformation Technique,' my true form is male." Hua Ling took two steps back, looking at Uchiha Shisui with a strange expression.
Shisui paused for a moment, then explained, "I'm just practicing how a brother dotes on his sister, otherwise I'll easily give myself away later."
"Oh, I was so scared!" Hua Ling patted her chest, finally relaxing a little. She had thought her true gender had been discovered.
After Shisui explained, the 'transformation technique' he used looked somewhat similar to that of the Flower Spirit.
Hua Ling circled around him and nodded, "Not bad, Zhi Shui, you really do look like siblings."
"For the next period of time, I will call you brother. I have given myself the name 'Hua Ling'."
Zhi Shui nodded and said gently, "Understood, Hua Ling."
"This guy gets into character really fast. It's a shame he's not an actor. He was so reserved just now." Hua Ling rolled her eyes at him speechlessly and took the lead in walking towards the village.
Zhi Shui plucked some flowers from the side of her to make a wreath, which would look beautiful on her head.
"Brother, hurry up!" Hua Ling turned around and called out impatiently.
Upon hearing the voice, Shisui's heart skipped a beat, but she quickly recovered and replied, "Coming."
Who says Uchiha Shisui lacked the tsundere trait typical of the Uchiha clan? He was definitely a hidden master.
Upon seeing the outline of the village in the distance, Zhishui suddenly grabbed Hualing and pulled her back.
"What's wrong?" Hua Ling asked in confusion, instinctively moving closer to him, thinking that something might happen so they could leave together. She guessed that Zhi Shui had discovered something.
"Hua Ling, our trip to Xi Di has probably been leaked."
When his two shadow clones from Daming Prefecture suddenly disappeared, he knew things were getting complicated.
"Brother, what do we do now? Should we go back?"
"I'd like to investigate tonight," Shisui said, expressing his idea.
His idea coincided with Hua Ling's, and he expressed his support.
As for the spies, once the investigation here is complete, she will let them know 'why the flowers are so red'.
At this moment, Hua Ling noticed that Zhi Shui had not yet let go of her hand. She glanced at Zhi Shui slightly, then quickly turned her head away. Now that they were siblings, it was normal for them to hold hands.
