Chapter 21 Surprise, Bass's Revenge?!

Picking up where we left off, Goten secretly participates in the World Martial Arts Tournament, where he is mocked by Scobio. Furthermore, even after Scobio has secured victory, he continues to humiliate his opponent. In the next match, he will pay the price…

After the quarterfinals were decided, the semifinals didn't begin until the next day. On that night of rest, Bass dreamt of a monster chanting, "Offer your body to me." Then his body convulsed, and when it calmed down, he opened his eyes to find they had turned red...

The next day at the martial arts tournament, the host enthusiastically announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, the quarterfinals are over, and now we've finally arrived at the semifinals. The first match will be between Bass and Jack. Let's cheer for them!"

In the audience, Akiko said to Yamcha, "Wow, Goten is so amazing! I thought he was just an ordinary kid."

Yamcha: "Uh... he really is amazing. I'll let you in on a secret, he's actually stronger than me."

Akiko exclaimed in shock, "Really? This child is really..."

Amidst the cheers of the audience, Bass and Jack stepped into the ring. Jack shouted first, "I'm the strongest! I'll take him down in ten seconds and show you!"

Bass remained silent, simply watching Jack show off. Goten, seeing this, wondered, "Strange, wasn't this guy just yesterday boasting about defeating Satan and taking the world championship title? How come he's like a completely different person after only one day?"

As the host shouted, "The competition begins!"

Jack immediately rushed towards Bass with a loud laugh, pulling him into his arms and increasing the force of his embrace. However, Bass sneered and then his body floated up. This scene left everyone present, except for Yamcha and Vegeta, completely unfazed. The other ordinary people stared wide-eyed in disbelief at the two rising into the air.

Jack, who was still putting in the effort, suddenly felt as if his feet couldn't reach the ground. He looked down and was instantly horrified. He lost his grip and fell heavily onto the ring. He forced himself to stand up and found that his opponent was floating in the air. He immediately questioned the referee, "Isn't that a foul?"

The host calmly replied, "What's the big deal? He didn't use any props. If you could fly, I wouldn't stop you. Either keep fighting or admit defeat. What are you arguing about?"

Upon hearing this, Jack immediately turned around and shouted at Bass, "You bastard, come down here if you dare, do you hear me? Come down and let's settle this once and for all!"

Bass remained silent upon hearing this, only offering a cold laugh. He then extended his right hand towards Jack, suddenly grabbing Jack's throat with a swift, powerful lift and slam, slamming him heavily onto the ring. Jack immediately lost consciousness.

Seeing this, the host immediately called for medical personnel to carry the injured fighter away. Bass returned to the ring, and the host asked curiously, "Could I interview you briefly? Your arms were so long, and you could even fly! Are you not human...?"

Bass replied simply, "I... am human... not... I... am seeking revenge... for..."

The host looked puzzled and wanted to ask further questions, but Bass simply ignored them and left...

Upon hearing Bass's words, Goten instantly became alert, but before that, he needed to deal with Scobio first, and deal with the rest later.

The host quickly announced the next match: "Ladies and gentlemen, next up is Scobio vs. Sun Wutian! Let's cheer and applaud them!"

After the host finished speaking, the audience chanted in unison, "Son Goten! Son Goten! Son Goten! Son Goten!"

No one cheered for Scobio. As the two stepped into the ring, the entire arena cheered for Goten. Goten waved to the audience in gratitude...

Once the audience quieted down, the host immediately announced the start of the match. In Satan's preparation room, Videl was loudly cheering for Goten, while Satan, on the other hand, was filled with worry. The moment he saw Pazu take off, he knew that no matter who won, he would fall from grace. Therefore, Satan had no interest in watching the match and was preoccupied with how to deal with the situation.

Back in the ring, the moment the announcer announced the start of the match, Scobio rushed toward Goten with a wicked grin. Goten easily dodged several punches in succession. With a light leap, Goten's head gently bumped into Scobio's chin. Scobio felt as if his chin had been hit by a car and clutched his chin as he stepped back.

Seeing this, Wutian mocked, "Hey, hey, hey! What's wrong? Did you get hit by a car? Keep hitting me."

Upon hearing this, Scobio charged at Goten again, baring his teeth and claws. Goten also ran towards Scobio. Suddenly, Goten slid in and tackled his opponent, then lightly jumped, somersaulted a few times, and landed on Scobio's back, instantly rendering him unable to get up again.

As the host counted down to ten, Sun Wukong unsurprisingly won the match and advanced to the semi-finals.

During the break, Goten was enjoying his meal when Pazu came up to him and stammered, "Now...enjoy...a little while...defeat...you, for...Moz...revenge. Damn...humans...language...is so hard." Then he left.

Upon hearing Moz's name, Goten's mood darkened once again. He hadn't expected that someone would come knocking on his door so soon after defeating the opponent. He couldn't help but sigh inwardly, "Ah... is this the trouble of being the protagonist? Trouble comes wherever I go. Sigh... there's nothing I can do but give it my all."

After the semi-finals concluded in the morning, the semi-finals began immediately in the afternoon. The exciting World Martial Arts Tournament has finally reached the semi-finals! The winner of this tournament will face Mr. Satan in the final. After the introductions, Goten and Bass walked onto the ring together, staring at each other until the host's sudden interview interrupted their gaze.

The host began by asking Bass, "Bass, could you briefly introduce yourself?"

Bass still stammered as he answered, "I... seek revenge... for... Moz... to defeat... him."

The host looked puzzled: "Moz? Who's that?"

Upon hearing the word "Moz" in Moz's name, Yamcha, Krillin, and the others immediately became serious. Seeing Krillin's expression, Chi-Chi quickly asked, "Krillin, who is Moz?"

Krillin said gravely, "It was a powerful opponent Goten encountered while searching for the Dragon Balls, and he barely managed to defeat it. Now someone is actually seeking revenge for him..."

Chi-Chi immediately became worried upon hearing this, and murmured, "What about Goten...?"

Seeing this, Krillin comforted him, "It's okay, Goten is much stronger than he was back then, he shouldn't have any problem with that kind of opponent." (I think so)
