"I only know that travelers received this honor, but when were those four... uh, special individuals..."
"Just this morning."
Ningguang's lips curled slightly upward.
"The appointment letter was signed by the troupe leader overnight. Interestingly, the person in question was unaware of it."
Ke Qing's gaze unconsciously drifted to the window. The giant crater on Tianheng Mountain, with a diameter of 100 meters, was particularly conspicuous in the sunlight—it was the "masterpiece" left by the four-person team during their "test flight" last week, and it was still emitting wisps of smoke.
I understand your concerns.
Ningguang followed her gaze.
"But rather than making them enemies, it is better to guide them properly."
She gently unfolded the map of Liyue Harbor.
"For example, have them deal with the landslide area in the Layered Rock Abyss, or those troublesome ruins in the Guili Plains..."
"You're planning to make them work for free?"
Keqing immediately looked at Ningguang warily.
Ningguang chuckled and said, "How could that be? The damage caused by animosity between people like them is something Liyue can't afford. Keqing, what kind of person do you take me for? I'm not that narrow-minded."
Keqing stood up and walked towards the exit of the Jade Pavilion: "Alright, I believe you. I'll go and inform the Thousand Rock Army not to attack the four talking Hilichurls, and also tell the people."
Ningguang smiled and said, "Then I'll go and prepare for the ceremony to invite the immortals three days from now."
Keqing's footsteps gradually faded at the end of the long corridor outside the Jade Pavilion. Ningguang stood by the window, gazing at the myriad lights of Liyue Harbor.
A breeze brushed past her silver hair, bringing a touch of coolness.
"Come out, Ye Lan."
Ningguang did not turn around; her voice was as calm as still water.
A pale blue light flickered in the corner of the room, like ripples on water.
Ye Lan's figure emerged from the crowd. She crossed her long legs and leaned against the carved pillar behind Ning Guang, toying with a die in her hand.
"Lady Ningguang is becoming more and more perceptive."
A faint smile appeared on Ye Lan's lips.
"You can't even hide it from me anymore."
Ningguang turned around and said, "It's not that your concealment skills have deteriorated, but that you deliberately let me discover you."
She walked slowly to the desk, her fingertips lightly tracing the mountain of files piled up on it.
"What is it that warrants your personal visit?"
Ye Lan put away her nonchalant expression and stood up straight.
She took out a stack of photos from her bosom and gently placed them on the mahogany desk in front of Ningguang.
"I've found out some... interesting things about those four talking Hilichurls."
Ningguang picked up the first photograph.
In the photo, four Hilichurls are standing in front of Mondstadt's gates, one of whom is wielding a lightning hammer and sending his companion flying.
The time displayed in the bottom right corner of the photo is yesterday noon.
"Is this footage from yesterday noon?"
Ye Lan nodded and handed over the second photo.
In this photo, four Hilichurls are sitting around the walls of Mondstadt, one of whom is holding several fluorescent mushrooms, a rarity in Sumeru, and is putting them into his mouth.
“What’s even stranger is this.”
Ye Lan's voice lowered.
"According to my informant, these mushrooms were picked from the Sumeru Rainforest that very morning, the freshest kind."
Ningguang's fingers tapped the table unconsciously, the rhythm quickening.
"Instant teleportation? Spatial teleportation across three kingdoms?"
"Not only that."
Ye Lan then took out a few more photos.
"They seem to be able to conjure tools out of thin air... tools we've never seen before."
The photo shows a strangely shaped metal vehicle, around which four Hilichurls are happily circling.
In the next photo, the "RV" plunges down a hillside at an astonishing speed before exploding in mid-air, sending flames soaring into the sky.
"The scariest thing is..."
Ye Lan's voice was almost squeezed out from between her teeth.
"After the explosion, they emerged unharmed from the smoke and began building a second one."
Ningguang's hand froze in mid-air, a bead of cold sweat sliding down her temple.
Ye Lan walked over to Ning Guang and pointed to the last photo: "Look at this."
In the photo, four Hilichurls are beating up a Pit Mage.
"They can withstand almost any attack; the self-destructive attacks of several abyss mages had no effect on them."
"Now, the abyss mages no longer dare to approach Mondstadt."
Ningguang took a deep breath and neatly stacked the photos.
"So, I made the right bet."
Ye Lan raised an eyebrow: "Oh?"
"Ke Qing was just worried that I would take advantage of them."
Ningguang gave a bitter smile.
"How could I possibly utilize their abilities?"
Ye Lan leaned back against the pillar, resuming her languid posture: "That's why I said your choice was right. Peaceful contact is currently the only viable strategy."
Ningguang walked to the window and looked at the brightly lit Liyue Harbor in the distance.
"The ritual to summon the immortals will be held in three days..."
Do you think they will show up?
Ye Lan did not answer, but slowly walked to Ning Guang's side.
Outside the window, a bright moon quietly disappeared into the clouds, and the lights of Liyue Harbor appeared exceptionally bright in the night.
Chapter 20: The person who suppressed the Four Lively Treasures has appeared!
"Everyone! Liyue Harbor is just ahead!"
Xiangling stood on the edge of the cliff and waved excitedly.
The afterglow of the setting sun spilled onto the distant harbor, gilding the upturned eaves of Liyue with a golden edge.
The four stood at the highest point of Tianheng Mountain, the night wind brushing against their uniquely styled masks.
Qingyu let out a soft sigh: "Liyue..."
"What happen to you guys?"
Paimon floated to the middle of the four, looking around curiously.
"Why is it so quiet all of a sudden? Could it be that it's been scared off by the bustling atmosphere of Liyue?"
Qingyu raised his hand to adjust his slightly crooked mask, his cloak swaying gently in the wind: "It's nothing, it's just that seeing these eaves and brackets... reminded me of some past events."
Just then, Er Kang suddenly rushed to the edge of the cliff, his voice trembling: "Wait! Look! Am I seeing things? Why are there so many Thousand Rock Army soldiers?"
Zhang Chu pulled a telescope from his four-dimensional pocket and began to examine the situation in Liyue Harbor.
"Something is wrong."
Zhang Chu looked at the "Qianyan Army Planning" book in his hand and said, "Normally, there are no more than twenty people guarding the gate, but now..."
He adjusted the focus.
"At least a hundred elite troops."
Gu Qian, wearing the Thunder King mask, leaned closer, his honest voice tinged with confusion: "Is it because of that... Summoning the Immortals Ritual?"
"The time is wrong."
Zhang Chu put down his binoculars and casually pulled out a copy of "Liyue Chronicles".
"The ritual to invite the immortals will take three more days."
Suddenly, Zhang Chu's muscles tensed: "Wait... purple hair, twin tails..."
His voice suddenly became serious.
"It's Ke Qing from Yuheng Star; she's personally leading the team."
"what?!"
The three of them exclaimed in unison.
Qingyu quickly pulled out an exquisite monocular telescope from his cloak, Erkang pulled out an exaggerated seashell periscope from somewhere, and Gu Qian obediently put his hand on his brow bone and peered out.
"Um...who is Keqing?"
Ying looked at Xiangling in confusion.
Xiangling, who was standing on tiptoe trying to see the situation in the distance, explained, "Lady Keqing is the Yuheng Star of the Seven Stars of Liyue. She is mainly responsible for urban construction and land planning. She is a very important person."
Er Kang put down the seashell periscope and looked at his companion: "They wouldn't be here... to capture us, would they?"
Zhang Chu picked up a wooden stick from the ground and used it to draw a simple defense map on the ground: "Since we entered Liyue, we have been watched by spies from at least seventeen different caravans."
Gu Qian scratched his head and asked, "Are we still going?"
"Go, of course."
