Chapter 59 The Copycat Demon Tamer
Chapter 59 The Copycat Demon Tamer
Sun Rui stood there and waited for a while, but nothing changed.
"No change? Does that mean they're really that easy to kill?"
He didn't think too much about it and walked further away. Everything here reminded him of the oil paintings in the Ghost Post Office, but it was different.
Sun Rui walked towards the airport. In reality, there are ghost tamers at the airport, even though they are dead. Could there be a corresponding one in the oil painting?
Upon reaching the roadside, Sun Rui waved, and a taxi stopped.
There were very few vehicles on the road, with only one or two occasionally passing by.
He had no intention of walking there, so he would have to steal a car. There was no one else alive in the world except him, at least based on his current observations.
Sun Rui threw the driver out of the driver's seat and drove away, even though the man was frantically following him. Through the rearview mirror, Sun Rui saw a bizarre scene: the driver was running wildly until his legs broke.
The driver was going much faster than a normal human, but he kept going until his leg broke with a thud.
He fell to the ground and struggled to climb up to the taxi, but to no avail.
Finally, Sun Rui saw through the rearview mirror that the person slowly turned into a blood-red liquid. The liquid had the texture of paint, and the person looked as if they had been smeared with paint.
"It seems that as long as they leave their territory, these people will disappear over time." Sun Rui stroked his chin.
In less than ten minutes, we arrived at the airport.
The airport was deserted, with no one in sight, but the airport gates were wide open and still operating normally, because Sun Rui saw planes taking off.
My eyes followed the direction the plane took off, and gradually the plane disappeared into the horizon.
"I wonder what will happen if I take this weird flight." Sun Rui walked into the airport.
Within this world, his perception of vengeful spirits has also diminished; he can only find out if there are any spirit controllers by venturing inside.
"That ghost tamer seems to be in the airport's command center." Sun Rui thought for a moment and followed the road signs to find him.
At that moment, Sun Rui had not yet reached the command room.
The light around you suddenly dimmed, as if someone had put a black cloth over your eyes. You could see things around you slightly, but the more you tried to see them clearly, the more blurry they became.
"No need to hide anymore, come out." Sun Rui said, glancing around. This was very similar to the situation at the airport in reality, except that the darkness was not as intense as in reality.
"You actually came to my door on your own initiative. It seems you must have seen me outside." A man with a somewhat sinister expression walked out.
"What's your name?" Sun Rui asked calmly.
"Heh, then I'll let you die knowing why. My name is Ron Croft." Ron looked at Sun Rui, his eyes showing no fear, but even a hint of satisfaction.
"Ron, right? Let me guess if your ability is your eyes?" Sun Rui laughed.
Ron's face stiffened: "How did you know?"
"You died after your ghost resurrected, and I was unfortunately attacked once as well," Sun Rui said casually.
"How is that possible? My attack was cursed with certain death. You couldn't possibly have survived!" Ron said incredulously.
"A mere death curse can't kill me," Sun Rui said. "You must know a lot about this place. Tell me, and I might spare your life."
"Heh, impossible. If you've got the guts, then kill me." Ron's face was sinister, and he immediately wanted to make a move.
"Why are you in such a hurry? Let me guess, if I kill you here, you'll be resurrected, right?" Sun Rui said.
"Now that you already know, there's no need to waste your supernatural powers. Even if you kill me countless times, how many times can you actually do it?" Ron said.
Sun Rui nodded. The people here were really stupid. He had only deduced some information from the oil paintings in the Ghost Post Office, but he hadn't expected that he would actually guess correctly.
Those preserved by the Ghost Post Office possess independent consciousness and are generally not killed. Even if they die, they will be resurrected in their own paintings. Only through special means can they be killed or completely forgotten.
I just don't know what's different about the paintings here.
The only difference Sun Rui could find was the territory: the people in the Ghost Post Office painting could move freely, but they couldn't step out of the painting; while Huang Mengjie here seemed to have walked out.
Arya is the same.
"If you don't want to talk properly, then go die!" Sun Rui's figure suddenly disappeared.
The next moment, a dark hand grabbed Ron's neck.
"How did you do that? It's impossible. Even outsiders who control ghosts are suppressed." Ron said unwillingly, feeling the threat of death.
"Unfortunately, sometimes seeing is not believing," Sun Rui said.
"Heh, you can't kill me. I'll be back tomorrow." Ron said, his body covered in black mud, but he was still just a little short of being killed.
At this moment, Sun Rui stopped and dragged Ron towards the airport exit.
"What are you doing? Let me go!" Ron began to struggle violently.
"Didn't you say you were unkillable? Let me try, it won't hurt me." Sun Rui said with a cold laugh as he walked outside without pausing.
He wondered if leaving the territory would be a way to completely kill the person in the painting.
Upon hearing this, Ron panicked instantly, but he couldn't launch a supernatural attack right now because Sun Rui wasn't watching him.
"I'll tell you whatever you want to know, just don't drag me out!" Ron said.
"Oh? Weren't you very assertive before?" Sun Rui said, without pausing his steps.
"I said, just let me go," Ron said. He was now completely unable to break free from Sun Rui's grasp, which contained supernatural power.
Sun Rui walked to the boundary line between the inside and outside of the airport: "Let's just say this: if you're lying, I'm sorry, the only thing I can do is make you disappear from this world completely."
"Fine, I'll do anything as long as you don't kill me," Ron said.
"How did these people get here, and how did they get out?" Sun Rui asked.
"I don't know how it appeared..."
Upon hearing this, Sun Rui instinctively wanted to throw him out.
"I really don't know, even if you kill me, I still won't know!" Ron was anxious. In his memory, this was the first time he had encountered such a domineering and tyrannical ghost tamer.
"Continue," Sun Rui said, pausing what he was doing.
"I know how to get out. All we have to do is kill one of the people outside, and we can get out!" Ron said quickly.
"With your strength, this should be easy for you, right? Why are you still here?"
Seeing that Sun Rui didn't believe him, Ron continued, "It is simple, but does this area look like a place where people live? Even if someone came in, they wouldn't appear here."
"Where do people who come in usually appear?" Sun Rui asked.
"I don't know. I've been here ever since I appeared, and I can't get out," Ron said.
Sun Rui was about to throw him out.
"Don't make a move yet, I'll tell you!" Ron said. "It's the Gray Brick Apartments! Living people will appear in the Gray Brick Apartments, only someone like me will appear directly in a given location."
