Chapter 341 Fantastic Four Part 3
Chapter 341 Fantastic Four Part 3
Chapter 341 Fantastic Four Part 3
After forcibly suppressing the idea of a future where only Ziran remained in his mind, Joey continued to discuss with Batman what the future of the universe should look like.
"The most urgent thing is to find Tony first. Oh, and also—"
The conversation between the two was about the survival of the universe in the future, and for a moment the furious Invisible Woman was completely put aside, as if no one cared about her feelings.
Like the fire that Joey had casually extinguished when she first arrived, the anger on her face began to subside, revealing a numbness and fear that had been building up for a long time.
First came intermittent, long breaths, then sharp sobs, and finally, even with her hands covering her face, she couldn't suppress her increasingly out-of-control emotions.
By the time Joey noticed this, the Invisible Woman's tears had already burst forth, and everything had finally overwhelmed her.
"Sound!"
She knelt down, sobbing and covering her face, crying, "Why do I have to go through all this?!"
After the Fantastic Four's last-ditch effort to defeat Doctor Doom failed, they began to flee, but their escape was particularly difficult.
During her final journey through space, the Fantastic Four's spaceship broke in two from the inside. She managed to protect herself and her unborn child by creating a force field.
It was a completely subconscious action, but that's why she couldn't save the other three people in time.
Her husband, Mr. Fantastic, her brother, the Human Torch, and her friend, the Thing, were swept into the spacetime turbulence along with the other end of the spaceship, and were practically doomed.
Even if Susan were a strong woman, she wouldn't be able to remain calm in this situation.
Moreover, the fact that she was pregnant made her even more emotional.
The Invisible Woman's emotional breakdown left Joey at a loss, and he inwardly groaned in despair. He immediately looked to Batman for help. Batman, however, remained unmoved, his mind racing, trying to come up with some comforting words using his knowledge of psychology.
But how easy is that?
If the Invisible Woman in front of us is the victim, then they are both theoretically indirect perpetrators, as evidenced by the slap she gave Superman.
"What were you doing before, Joey?"
Just as the two were worrying, Tony, who had been shot down by several missiles from a S.H.I.E.L.D. Quinjet a few minutes earlier, landed on his former mansion in his scratched Amorod armor, which was repairing itself.
"Does anyone want to hear how Tony Stark thwarted Hydra's plot in five minutes?"
To be fair, Hydra's lack of common sense is in line with S.H.I.E.L.D.
They actually thought that with just a few action teams and a group of superpowered individuals who seemed to have come from nowhere, they could take down Iron Man, who was wearing the Amozzo suit, on the ground.
"Wow, who is this stunning blonde beauty?"
Tony, who was about to boast about his killing spree, suddenly stopped, automatically skipping over Batman and Superman, and his eyes immediately locked onto Invisible Woman Susan, who was kneeling on the ground and crying.
"What happened?"
"Great! It's Tony the Shit! We're saved!" Joey and Batman exchanged a glance. "Saved my ass!"
The two of them played at most accomplices in the Invisible Woman's family's destruction, while Tony was the principal offender!
Once they reveal their identities, won't the Invisible Woman kill him immediately?
Before Joey could muster the strength to slap Tony, who instinctively tried to flirt with any pretty woman he saw, into outer space, a beeping sound suddenly came from the wreckage of the spaceship behind the Invisible Woman.
Hearing the commotion, the invisible woman's crying stopped abruptly. She turned her head, first in disbelief, then overjoyed:
"Impossible! My God!"
Despite her pregnancy, the Invisible Woman desperately tried to squeeze into the wrecked rear section of the spaceship, but Batman stopped her first.
"This is too dangerous for you. The spaceship's structure is already damaged in several places. Let Superman go!"
"Batman is right."
Although Joey was silently protesting in his heart that "Superman's life is also his life," he still verbally agreed with Batman's suggestion.
He slipped into the tail section of the spaceship, which had been cut in half and was now just a 'down' character, amidst the slightly hostile gaze of the Invisible Woman.
With the help of his superhuman senses, he effortlessly located the source of the buzzing sound, retrieved it from a pile of metal and ash, and held it in his hand.
This is a communicator marked with the number '4'.
"Is there any gentleman willing to tell me how to use this?"
On the other side of the Flashpoint universe, outside the Kuiper Belt of the solar system, Jor-El of the Kryptonian fleet also held a communicator engraved with the number '4'.
Inside the upper half of the spaceship's bow, which was painted with the logo, the Kryptonians found many interesting things, including a communicator, which was even the most inconspicuous item.
After examining it for a few seconds, Joe Al had roughly figured out how it worked. He placed it on the table and pushed it forward, turning his gaze to the three silent 'people' in front of him.
If they can still be called human beings.
A rubber man who can freely transform and extend his body, a fire man who can ignite himself to create a firestorm, and a stone man.
"Thank you for your help, sir, no, lord, or king, or whatever your title may be? You may address us as—"
Mr. Fantastic, the Human Torch, and the Thing sat quietly opposite Jor-El, appearing extremely well-behaved.
The stone man's eyebrows, which were as big as half a head, with a gap the size of a bowl, and the Thunderbolt beside him, wrapped in Mao coins and trembling, already said something.
It was clear that their first encounter with the Kryptonians when they were pulled from outer space was not a pleasant one.
After exchanging glances for a while, the three decided that Mr. Fantastic Reed should break the silence:
"Is there anything we can do to repay you?"
"Look at the way you're looking—"
Joe Al keenly noticed the three men's gazes frequently glancing towards his chest, and immediately understood what was going on:
"You've seen this emblem before, haven't you?"
"No, I was just thinking it looks a lot like the letter 'S' on Earth."
Reed certainly recognized the 'S' emblem. He had seen it on Superman before when they traveled through time to try to interfere with Doctor Doom's timeline. Not only was the shape of the emblem identical, but all the details and its position on the clothes were exactly the same.
But right now, unable to distinguish friend from foe, Reed really didn't know how to answer the question.
"Does he call himself 'Superman'? A young man with a red cape, blue suit, and a height of 191 cm, with a tuft of curly hair?"
The Human Torch, who had just recovered from the freezing breath, heard such a detailed description and immediately responded before Reed could stop him:
"Yes, so you know him—"
"Of course I know him!"
Jor-El, who had been keeping a stern face, waved away the Kryptonian soldiers who had surrounded the hangar three or four times. Suddenly, a kind smile appeared on his face, and his previous imposing demeanor vanished without a trace.
He rose and shook hands with Reed, the most composed and reliable of the three, who was easily recognizable as their leader at a glance:
"I am Joe El, and the young man you are talking about, Karl El, is my son."
Although from the initial contact, through a battle that wasn't too intense, Reed could vaguely connect these armed forces with abilities similar to Superman, as well as their leader, Jor-El, who wore the same badge on his chest, with Superman.
Unexpectedly, the relationship between the two was so close.
"Relax, since you are Karl's friends, you are also Kryptonians' friends."
With a mutual friend, the tension between the two sides eased slightly, and in just a few words, Jor-El had already gotten the reason why the Fantastic Four were there from the Human Torch.
There were originally four of them, but the spaceship exploded midway through its journey through space, splitting in two. Reed's pregnant wife, who was deep in the stern, was swept into a spacetime turbulence and disappeared without a trace. "I have deep sympathy for what happened to your family. Don't worry, I believe she will be alright."
Joe Al led them away from the heavily guarded emergency defense area and to the half of the spaceship that had been cut in half and was now completely scrap metal.
After he gave a few instructions in Kryptonian language to the Kryptonian soldier guarding the ship, the soldier nodded and left with the others, handing over control of the half of the ship back to the three Fantastic Four.
"Your spaceship needs repair, or rather, reconstruction. We can do it for you, or you can do it yourself. Just let us know what materials, tools, or parts you need!"
After carefully examining the spaceship, Jor-El tossed three holographic discs to the three men:
"Repairing the spaceship is a time-consuming task. I recommend you rest at the accommodations I've arranged. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need anything; we Kryptonians always treat our friends well!"
After dismissing the three people who claimed to be "Fantastic Four," Jor-El raised his hand and a communicator with the number "4" engraved on its casing appeared in his hand in 3D printing form, exactly the same as the one he had just received.
Compared to that spaceship, the communicator's structure is not too complicated; with Kryptonian technology, it could be easily replicated.
After the signal was synchronized, within minutes, Joe Al, with his superhuman senses, observed a brief communication handshake through the communicator that was almost impossible to detect by conventional means.
Realizing something, Joe El chuckled softly, even his steps toward the command bridge becoming slightly lighter. He tossed the objects in his hands up and down, leaving only one sentence echoing in the ship's passageway:
"interesting."
