Chapter 4 Cooperation
Chapter 4 Cooperation
"What...what did you say?!"
Snape was stunned by those words and tried to speak several times but stopped himself.
Seeing Snape like this greatly satisfied Tana Rozier's wicked side.
Both remained silent for a long time. Finally, Snape spoke first:
"What do you plan to do with this child?"
"What do you mean, 'what do I plan to do'? I don't know what Mr. Snape means by that."
"Of course I will keep this child, after all, he is the only heir of our Rozier family."
Severus Snape fell silent. He didn't know what to say, but he knew perfectly well that he didn't like the boy.
The child's existence was a poignant sign that he had been manipulated. At the same time, Snape felt betrayed by his own feelings.
After all, he had always loved Lily, but now he had a relationship with another woman and even had a child with her…
If possible, Snape didn't want this child to appear.
However, this is not something Snape can decide. Tana Rozier has already made it clear that this child is the heir to her family. Does Snape really expect Tana Rozier to abort the child?
Snape thought that if he had any sense, he wouldn't have done that.
"Mr. Snape, I think this child would be better off with the Rozier surname. What do you think?"
Tana Rozier spoke again.
Severus Snape was naturally delighted to hear this request, since he didn't like the child anyway.
"Yes, Miss Rozier, that would be best if you wish."
Tana Rozier chuckled softly after Severus Snape finished speaking.
"This child will certainly have the Rosier surname, and must have it. However, Mr. Snape, don't think that just because the child has the Rosier surname, you have no connection to it."
These words were exactly what Severus Snape had expected. Tana Rozier was a Slytherin, and Slytherin interests came first.
If Tana Rozier really didn't have any demands, Snape would have suspected she wasn't even from Slytherin.
"What can I do for you, Miss?"
Tana Rozier was pleased with Severus Snape's pragmatism, and then slowly began to speak:
"A collaboration between a Slytherin Headmaster and Potions Master and the Rozier family—I think that's acceptable to Mr. Snape, isn't it?"
Tana Rosier wasn't wrong. Snape's cooperation with the Rosier family wouldn't cause him much trouble; he would only need to provide the Rosier family with some potions regularly.
If there's anything else Tana Rosier might want, it's probably Snape's kind words about the Rosier family from the Dark Lord.
Severus Snape was the Dark Lord's favorite henchman, a fact known to almost all Death Eaters.
Although the Rozier family has maintained a neutral stance, who can guarantee that Voldemort won't suddenly go mad? After all, the Dark Lord's mental state isn't that stable.
What Tana Rozier thought of, Severus Snape could naturally think of as well, but what Tana Rozier needed was also extremely simple for Snape to do.
"Of course, Miss, I completely agree with your idea. I wish us a pleasant cooperation."
Tana Rozier and Severus Snape both got what they wanted, so there's nothing more to talk about.
Severus Snape left Rozier Manor, which eased Tana Rozier's anxiety.
