A moment later.
"The basic pharmacopoeia of Grey Tower has been mastered." The system notification sounded on time.
Lin Qi shook his slightly sore head.
Feeling the surge of unfamiliar knowledge flooding his mind, he couldn't help but exclaim again, "This is too powerful! Absolutely too powerful!"
The previously completely unfamiliar knowledge of potions was now readily apparent before my eyes.
With such a powerful cheat, learning knowledge and magic is a piece of cake. Why worry about not becoming powerful in the future?
"I wonder what Professor Hossman's special reward is?" Lin Qi stroked his chin and began to guess.
Lynch isn't one to seek the limelight, but when it comes to future development resources, that's a different story. In the wizarding world, resources are just as important as talent, and the amount of resources directly affects future growth.
The world is about to be destroyed, and his growth rate is directly related to his life and death.
"Knock knock knock!" Just then, a knocking sound rang out, followed by Louis's voice.
"Lin Qi, are you there?"
"My brother, open the door quickly, I have something important to tell you."
Lin Qi walked over and opened the wooden door that wasn't very soundproof.
Outside the door stood Louis, with his signature blond hair and a cynical smile on his face, and a female apprentice standing close to him.
Those around their age wore grey apprentice robes that were clearly altered to be too small and made with minimal fabric. The necklines were extremely low, revealing large areas of fair skin and subtle curves, and the skirts were also shorter, exposing slender calves.
Lynch looked at Louis with a puzzled expression.
Louis stepped forward and patted Lynch on the shoulder enthusiastically: "Lynch, my brother! You're finally back in the dorm!"
He then turned to the side and said in a tone that clearly implied introduction, "This is Lilith, she's from our class and lives in the western shantytown. She's admired you for a long time and has been pestering me to give her a chance to meet you, so I brought her here."
As he spoke, he winked at Lilith.
Lilith immediately took a small step forward and said somewhat nervously, "Lord Lin...Linqi, hello. I am Lilith, from Whitestone Town in the northern border of the Kingdom of Lorent."
Louis picked up the conversation, his smile carrying a hint of unspoken understanding between men, and his words became more direct: "Lynch, I'm not exaggerating, Lilith is a well-known beauty in her area. Before coming to Grey Tower, quite a few young men in town fought over her."
This almost blatant sales pitch didn't embarrass or anger Lilith; instead, she quickly defended herself, or rather, offered further proof of her worth: "But I've never promised anyone! I swear! I...I haven't...haven't been with any man..."
"I'm still a virgin."
Lynch understood.
After becoming a formal apprentice of the Gray Tower, his status and position naturally improved dramatically. To those apprentices still outside the Gray Tower, he was already a big shot, someone many apprentices dreamed of associating with.
Louis's pimping skills are getting better and better...
Lin Qi was somewhat disgusted.
After thinking for a moment, he casually replied to Lilith, "Lilith? I'll remember you, but you're still too young. Go back first, and come back in two years."
Anyway, these apprentices will all die here soon, so he doesn't need to worry about this problem.
Lilith was clearly disappointed when she heard Lin Qi's words, but she quickly cheered up after hearing his subsequent addition.
Two years is nothing in the wizarding world.
She quickly straightened her cloak and assured him confidently, "Yes, sir, Lilith will grow up quickly."
Louis laughed and said, "Alright, Lilith, you can go back now. Remember to eat plenty of papaya."
Lilith bowed and then turned and left.
Louis followed Lynch into the house.
This guy acted like he owned the place, walking over to the kettle on the table and pouring himself a glass of water. Then, he casually pointed and said, "I'm not trying to be mean, but brother, you're a formal apprentice now. At least act like one, okay?"
"Look at the mess in your room. Is it that hard to find someone to tidy it up for you? There are countless apprentices lining up outside wanting to do odd jobs for you."
Lin Qi replied indifferently, "There's no need."
Louis, however, seemed oblivious to the aloofness in Lynch's words, and continued talking to himself, "Haha, you always go your own way like this, that won't do. You need to always show your value. Look, if I hadn't lived so close to you, I wouldn't have discovered your amazing potential and almost missed out on a big deal!"
At this point, he became excited: "My brother, you've really struck gold with me this time. Although I didn't doubt that you would enter the Gray Tower, I didn't expect it to be so soon, only half a year has passed."
"Now all the apprentices outside know that I have a brother who lives in the Gray Tower, and I've suddenly become the object of everyone's admiration, hehehe... You have no idea how enthusiastic those female apprentices are, it's so awesome."
Lin Qi said with a hint of disdain, "Are you still lacking women?"
Louis shook his head: "That's different. Playing with human women is fun too, but playing with apprentices is a completely different experience. Trust me, you should try it. You'll love it."
Lin Qi was getting annoyed with this guy, and even began to doubt whether making a deal with him was the right decision. After all, who knew what kind of shady things he was doing outside under his name?
After thinking it over, Lin Qi decided to end the deal: "Investment should yield returns, and now it's my turn to repay you. What do you need? Just tell me your request."
"No rush."
However, Louis clearly disagreed. After all, given Lynch's current potential, the longer the deal dragged on, the greater the rewards he would receive. After all, the deal they made was "within their means," wasn't it?
Ok,
This is the choice you made yourself, so don't blame me for defaulting on the debt...
"It's not time to recoup profits yet." Like a shrewd businessman, Louis thought he had grasped the key to success: "Not only is it not time to recoup profits, but it's time to increase investment."
After a pause, he looked at Lin Qi with burning eyes and asked, "Lin Qi, my brother, you've proven yourself to be a worthwhile investment. So, do you still want to continue doing business with me?"
"Of course, the price for this transaction will be based on your current status as a formal apprentice."
