Chapter 72 Scarface Rebukes Blood Baro
Chapter 72 Scarface Rebukes Blood Baro
Chapter 73 Scarface Rebukes Blood Baro
The flower blooms at two ends, each telling its own story.
Dumbledore was deeply troubled by Harry's memories, while Scarface, however, was broad-minded and went straight to the Great Hall for his meal.
Ron and Hermione jumped up to greet him when they saw him. After he sat down, Hermione served him chicken, duck, fish, and meat on his plate, and poured him a glass of pumpkin juice, all with great speed and efficiency.
"How is it, Harry?" Ron asked anxiously. "What did Professor Dumbledore say?"
Harry took a sip of the sweet juice and sneered, "Of course I can't escape responsibility."
He concealed Dumbledore's painful memories and told them the rest of the story, leaving the two men feeling both happy and worried.
"Did you notice that Professor Dumbledore said the Ministry of Magic went to the Malfoys to investigate Dark Magic artifacts?" Hermione whispered. "And think about that howling letter Draco received."
"I dare say he must have used some kind of dark magic artifact to open the secret chamber."
"That's right, Lucius was a Death Eater back in the day, so he must have a lot of dark magic items at home." Ron clicked his tongue and said, "He's really ruthless to make his own son take such a risk."
The three went to look at the Slytherin table, where Draco was looking smug and reading a letter.
"Did you hear that? Listen to what my dad said! He's incredibly satisfied with my academic progress lately!"
"He's promised me he'll get the entire team equipped with the latest Nimbus 2001 gear!"
As soon as he finished speaking, people from those teams came up and put their arms around his shoulders, showering him with compliments.
"But there has to be a reason, right?" Hermione turned around and asked suspiciously, "What is his purpose in opening the Chamber of Secrets?"
Harry chewed on some chicken and said in a deep voice, "As the saying goes, a leopard can't change its spots. This scoundrel came here as a Death Eater before, and now he's pretending to be a respectable young man. All this trouble is probably related to Voldemort."
Ron gripped his wand tightly and said, "Even if it really is—the Mysterious Man, I'm not afraid of him."
As they were whispering among themselves, they suddenly heard a joyful scream from behind them.
"Harry! You're finally here! I thought you weren't coming for lunch!"
No need to look; such solicitous words could only come from Colin.
Ron and Hermione, annoyed, quickly turned their heads away. Harry, however, chuckled, "What brings Colin Firth here? Another time for some impromptu photos with me?"
Colin nodded hastily, and Harry took out a few Galleons from his robes to hand to him.
Upon seeing this, Colin shook his head in a panic, "Oh, Harry, how could I possibly take your money?"
"Colin, you're mistaken! I see you working tirelessly day and night, only concerned with spreading my good reputation. How could I let you toil in vain?"
Colin was grateful but refused to accept the coin. Harry forced it on him, saying, "If you don't accept it, people will say I'm a coward who bullies the weak. How can I be called a hero?"
Hearing these words, Colin nodded, flattered and surprised.
"Oh, right, Harry, there's something else I wanted to tell you."
Seeing his hesitation, Harry laughed loudly, "Colin, just say it! We're brothers, no need to stand on ceremony!"
"That's right, I have several friends who really admire you, especially since they were there last night when you were criticizing the heirs of Slytherin!"
"Can you meet them?"
It should be noted that Colin had long admired Harry, and had secretly taken many vivid photos of him to give to his classmates. Whenever he talked about those old stories such as slaying the trolls, the gathering in the common room, and driving away Quirrell, he described them in great detail, as if he had witnessed them himself.
The first-year wizards listened to his eloquent tales, and they were all captivated and full of admiration.
Harry, upon hearing this, exclaimed happily, "That's fine! Coling, please call them over so I can meet them!"
Seeing that he had agreed, Colin stood up and called out, "Come here, all of you!"
He raised his arm and called out, and many young wizards rushed over. Upon closer inspection, besides Gryffindor, there were also quite a few students from the Hound and Badger houses.
Harry took a bag of Galleons from his robes and said, "You all come here and divide it among yourselves."
The young wizards stared wide-eyed at the sight of gold, yet hesitated to make a move.
Seeing this, Colin quickly took the money bag and divided it among them, saying:
"It's alright, Harry gave it to you, just keep it—lots of people at school have received gifts from Harry."
Hearing his explanation, the young wizards no longer held back and took the money to thank Harry.
"Thank you, Harry."
"I knew he was definitely no ordinary wizard!"
"Hello, Harry, my brother told me he also received a gift from you..."
They're all greedy for money, and eager to get it. Now everyone's in a frenzy, and all restraint has been thrown to the winds.
The girl from Ravenclaw, Luna, spoke up: "Harry, may I ask how you discovered that it's possible to disobey the Sorting Hat?"
Harry laughed and said, "I've traveled far and wide and seen a lot, but I've never heard of anyone labeling their child before they even enter school. Why bother with that nonsense!"
Hearing his bold words, the young wizards couldn't contain themselves and came forward one after another to ask questions.
After lunchtime had passed and the food had been digested, Colin called out, "Alright, everyone, let's go home. Don't make Harry's class late."
After saying that, she turned to look at Harry and asked, "Can we come again tomorrow?"
Harry laughed and said, "No problem at all!"
From then on, every day at noon, Colin would bring a group of people to talk to Harry.
Not to mention the Eagle and Badger houses, even the Slytherin house has several freshmen who yearn for it and come here hesitantly.
Although Harry was annoyed with Draco, he treated all the new students equally. Within just a few days, dozens of people had gathered to talk to him.
It should be known that the Slytherin and Slytherin houses are sworn enemies. Slytherin would not be happy to see all their new students scared away by Harry.
This group of people were whispering and exchanging secret signals behind each other's backs, waiting to sabotage his scheme. However, after pushing and shoving each other for a long time, none of them dared to step forward.
Why was that? It turned out that the younger students were intimidated by his reputation and trembled with fear; while the older students, mindful of their status, were too embarrassed to step forward.
"Senior, you are a member of the Twenty-Eight Holy Clans, while Potter is just a half-blood."
"Aren't you the same? You and he are both in the second year, so it's most appropriate for you to go and talk to him."
"I'm pureblood... What's the point of talking about being pureblood with mixed-bloods..."
The students were just making excuses when suddenly a cold voice spoke up, "I'll go talk to them."
Everyone looked over and saw that the blood-soaked Barrow had appeared out of nowhere.
He was a resident ghost of Slytherin and one of the elders of the Ghost Council. Apart from the professors, he was the only one in the entire house who could tame Peeves, and even the Headmaster had to show him respect.
Such a clever ghost volunteered, and the students of Slytherin cheered him on.
"Well done!"
"Don't embarrass yourself, Mr. Barrow!"
"Cheer up!"
The blood-soaked Barrow ignored the students and went straight to Harry.
When they got to his side, the freshmen who had been keeping him company all looked frightened and dared not speak again.
The bloodied man, Barrow, said, "Mr. Potter, we need to talk."
Harry glanced sideways, his disdain evident on his face. He also wanted to vent his anger on Helena, so he simply snorted and shouted:
"You worthless wretch, how dare you speak to me? Who do you think you are!"
With the teachings of the Church of England, Scarface became famous throughout the Fourth House, revered by all the freshmen. This angered the Slytherin community, who wanted to send Barrow the Bloody to question him. Intending to be polite and ask questions first, they didn't even resort to violence, but instead received a barrage of insults from Harry. How Barrow the Bloody will react remains to be seen.
