Five people huddled around the computer, constantly browsing the world's news.
Suddenly, UMP45 turned to Luo Fan and asked, "So, Commander, we are now in this country called White Eagle?"
"Yes."
Luo Fan didn't take it seriously, thinking that Sister 45 was just asking about her location.
But UMP45 didn't stop there, and continued, "Then, Commander, I think we'd better leave this country within two months of the outbreak of the biohazard."
"...Why do you say that?"
Luo Fan had also considered this idea, but considering his and the dolls' sensitive identities, he ultimately gave up on it.
"According to you, the biohazard crisis was caused by a company called Umbrella. I just checked the White Eagle government's financial records and found that their investment in Umbrella has never stopped."
UMP45's words made Luo Fan frown.
I hadn't considered that.
"Either Umbrella is deceiving everyone, and even the government believes they are just researching drugs to enhance human function, or the government is secretly receiving benefits from them. Judging from the current attitude of various countries towards the White Eagle, this country is still not suitable for us to stay for long."
Luo Fan sat up in bed and lowered his head to think.
Sister 45's words make sense. If a biohazard were to break out first in the United States, given the United States' international standing and relations with other countries, it would inevitably provoke strong international condemnation. Almost every country would take the opportunity to demand an explanation from the United States.
Whether driven by its own national interests or for the sake of world peace, the United States can no longer remain unaffected.
When the nest is overturned, how can any egg remain intact?
However, the UMP45 still lacks some consideration.
That is themselves, the revolutionary bodies and functions of tactical dolls.
Perhaps ordinary people like myself can be sent to other regions after undergoing a physical examination, or at the very least, be quarantined for a period of time.
But what about the humanoid form? What was detected was metal, chips, and bionic blood. How are you going to explain that to them?
Perhaps it's not just about isolation.
Finally, after some thought, Luo Fan said, "We will definitely go out, but we can't leave this country in the short term."
"Why?" UMP45 asked, puzzled.
“You are tactical dolls. Your very existence surpasses the current technological level of this world. No matter how strong your electronic warfare capabilities are, you cannot hide them forever. They may even be able to support us in going to other countries.”
"We will leave Raccoon City, but we can't leave White Eagle for the time being."
AK12 has made a summary.
Luo Fan followed AK12's words and said, "That's right. We need to accumulate strength before the biohazard occurs, so that we have the capital to challenge other forces, and even the military, before this world descends into chaos."
Luo Fan paused, then said in a deep voice, "Moreover, there are some people we have to save, because we will need them in the future."
After hearing about Lovan's plan, the androids did not raise any further objections. Since the commander had his own plan, they were all willing to believe it.
"Furthermore, and crucially, only after a biohazard outbreak will we have more opportunities to acquire resources, which is difficult to achieve in an orderly outside world. Therefore, this is also our opportunity to develop."
If I had run away much earlier, where would I have gotten so many opportunities to steal iron like today?
The truth will always come out eventually.
After the discussion, UMP45 turned his chair back to the computer and continued to collect useful intelligence, while AK12 and RPK16 climbed onto the bed and lay down next to Luo Fan.
Luo Fan was already used to it. It seemed that RPK16 didn't have any obvious desire to become human yet. That was good. Let me stick with the bad woman to my heart's content first!
AN94 looked at her two teammates standing by the bed, their hands behind their backs gently stroking their rings, seemingly somewhat lost.
Even with his eyes closed, AK12 noticed AN94's subtle movements, and after a few seconds of thought...
He suddenly pulled AN94 onto the bed.
"Ugh?"
AN94 didn't have time to react. Before she could resist, AK12 had already pinned her to the bed.
AK12 started teasing AN94 again: "AN94, haven't you always wanted to sleep with the Commander? How about I give you my spot tonight?"
"I...I didn't! It's just that our whole squad has rings, but I haven't had much of a chance to get them with the Commander..."
AN94 initially blushed and retorted, but her voice gradually weakened.
"That's the wrong way to think, AN94. Think about it, the Commander has so many Oath Dolls. Do you want them to sleep with the Commander one by one before it's your turn? Forget it. Everyone else is going to come anyway. We might as well take advantage of our proximity and get to sleep with them first."
AK12 grabbed AN94's hands, pressed them against AN94's body, and gently stroked the other's face.
As Luo Fan watched this scene, he felt a fishy smell emanating from his mouth.
"How about it, Commander? Shall we let AN94 sleep with you tonight?"
"No problem, of course no problem!"
Luo Fan readily agreed.
Luo Fan's reaction was exactly what AK12 expected. He simply covered his mouth and chuckled, then released AN94.
He didn't forget to whisper to AN94, "Did you hear that? This is an opportunity the captain got for you, so don't let me down."
"I...I'll try my best..."
The blush on AN94's face did not fade at all; on the contrary, it intensified, to the point that she had to cover her face to comfort herself.
The AR team is coming tomorrow. If I don't take the initiative, when will I get so many more opportunities?
do my best!
Meanwhile, Luo Fan made a phone call.
"Hey?"
After the call connected, Luo Fan gave a perfunctory greeting.
"Yo~ Lao Luo, what made you suddenly call me? Not doing so well in Raccoon City and now you want to go back to San Francisco?"
A vibrant, hip-hop-inspired male voice came from the other end of the phone.
"Screw you, Marcus. I just called you to ask for a favor."
"Fine, fine, that's just how you are, Luo. You're always so cold-hearted. What do you need my help with?"
The other party seemed to have given in and returned to their normal tone.
"I'll give you eight hundred thousand dollars. Spend it all and get me a batch of ammunition. Give it to me in batches and get it done within a week."
His words were startling, yet delivered in a casual tone, causing the other person to tremble slightly: "Holy shit, Bro, are you starting a revolution or preparing for war? Eight hundred thousand?"
“Yes, 800,000. I think the one thing DedSec has no shortage of is access to the goods, right? As for the purpose... just consider it my contribution to DedSec.”
"Okay, okay, I'll go talk to Wrench and the others. The goods you requested should be delivered within three days, in batches."
After receiving permission from the other party, Luo Fan hung up the phone.
"Commander, who's on the phone?"
RPK16 asked the question, and UMP45 also turned around, after all, associating 800,000 with ammunition was bound to attract attention.
“A friend of mine delivers goods for us.”
Luo Fan didn't want to explain too much. DedSec was a global hacker organization, and they had been extending olive branches to him because of his skills. However, he had always used it as a means to obtain certain goods.
I contacted DedSec's San Francisco branch, and even if I didn't join DedSec, it wouldn't affect my good relationship with its members.
Now is the time to take advantage of this relationship.
All I need to do is collect the ammunition tomorrow, like clocking in, and then convert it into ammunition points.
Lovan transferred $800,000 through DedSec's clandestine channels and provided an address.
That was his new address after he moved.
Lofan wasn't worried about the confidentiality issues. If DedSec couldn't even handle this, they might as well disband and find their own factories.
Seeing that her commander was unwilling to say more, RPK16 did not ask any further questions and continued to lie comfortably on the bed, while UMP45 continued to collect information.
Luo Fan also turned off his phone and tossed it aside.
Why are you playing on your phone? I want to get close to my wife!
PS: I've received it for 800. I'm still very grateful to William for his support and to everyone else. This is the first book I've written, and I never expected it to develop so quickly. I hope to have the opportunity to continue this journey with everyone in the future.
Also, I'd like to recommend another group, a place for chatting, gossiping, and all sorts of weird and wonderful things: 399397638 (and let me know about the weird and wonderful things some of the group members have, and I'll consider including them in the future, provided they're on the river).
20. Insomnia
P.S.: I didn't expect Pascal's Sugar to win this poll by such an overwhelming margin. So this is what we all are like (lol). I'll make some arrangements for it in the next couple of days.
Maintaining this state, Luo Fan lay in bed until evening, without eating dinner.
I just ordered takeout on a whim and quickly solved the dinner problem. I still have to prepare for tomorrow's move and recruiting the AR team.
So Luo Fan took a shower early and prepared to go to bed, without causing any more trouble.
AN94 also lay down next to Luo Fan. AK12 had already given up its place for him. Now, AK12 was sleeping on the outer edge of the bed, together with AK15.
UMP45, sleeping next to RPK16, was furious.
What happened to the promised alliance? You just ran away without my permission?
AN94 could only apologize, saying that her captain was too good to her.
Although AN94 was delighted to have this opportunity, she felt lost and confused once she actually got into bed with him.
How should I perform? What will the commander expect from me? Am I doing enough?
Various questions filled AN94's mind.
As a result, AN94 naturally suffered from insomnia.
Two hours later, at one o'clock, AN94 still couldn't fall asleep and kept changing positions.
Luo Fan was already holding the AN94, and the other party's twisting and turning caught his attention.
I opened my blurry eyes and saw AN94, whose complexion wasn't good.
This situation couldn't help but worry Luo Fan.
"Can't sleep?"
The voice startled AN94. She looked up and saw the commander staring at her.
Luo Fan asked in a low voice, his eyes full of concern.
AN94 felt a warmth in her heart, but her face darkened again. She said, "I'm sorry, Commander, I'm not as experienced as AK12 and can't satisfy you like she does."
"..."
Luo Fan didn't speak, but looked at AN94 with a complicated expression.
"W-what's wrong, Commander? Is it...that you have some kind of dissatisfaction with me?"
That look in her eyes made AN94 feel somewhat uneasy.
Luo Fan simply looked at AN94.
Then, she held AN94's head and whispered, "How could that be? No matter what, you are my human form. How could I be dissatisfied with you?"
AN94's vision was plunged into darkness as Luo Fan's body blocked her view, preventing her from turning around freely.
A moment later, AN94 felt a touch from behind.
Someone hugged me from behind.
The person next to me, besides the commander, is AK12; AK15 is on the outside of the bed.
Now that the commander is right in front of me...
AN94 closed her eyes and stopped moving. She didn't know how long it would take her to fall asleep tonight, but she was certain that with people who loved her and people she loved by her side, she would no longer feel lost.
AN94 wanted to smile; she should have smiled more.
But she couldn't laugh, and she didn't know why.
"This is probably all I can do..."
In the end, AN94 could only manage a bitter smile before closing its eyes as if giving up.
......
The next morning, Luo Fan woke up early and went to pack up the items he needed to move.
