Chapter Twelve: Dinner (Part Two)
The dining table is made of very fine porcelain, and the chairs beside it are made of superior sandalwood.
The tableware on the table glittered under the light, and judging from its luster, these knives, forks, bowls, and plates were undoubtedly sterling silver.
Philippa's long, loose hair was now tied into two cute pigtails, with a delicate bat-shaped hair clip at the back of her head. She had even changed her clothes specially for this dinner.
However, it was still a Gothic-style long dress that covered her completely, only this time it was white and the style was different. The most obvious feature was that there was an exquisite silk bow on the chest of the dress.
With her pretty little face, Philippa looked like an innocent little angel—a seemingly harmless character.
Philippa's looks are probably top-tier among female vampires!
As soon as he stepped down the stairs, Leon's gaze fell on Philippa's fair face. She was really beautiful! He was almost stunned by her beauty, but luckily Leon had strong self-control and quickly snapped out of his daze.
Just as Leon was looking at Philippa, Philippa was also looking at Leon.
After taking off his dirty prison clothes and tidying himself up a bit, Leon changed into a formal suit and looked so handsome that it was impossible to describe him in normal language.
How can there be such a beautiful human being?
It's like the most exquisite doll in the hands of a master.
Unlike dolls,
He is alive.
However, it seems that bringing a doll to life is not impossible.
Anyway...
This human is just really good-looking.
It's a pity that her blonde hair was too bright and dazzling, like the sunlight.
Ugh, I hate sunlight.
Thinking of this, Philippa's expression, which had been smiling as she looked at Leon, instantly turned into one of disgust.
Hmm? Something's not right.
Leon had been secretly observing Philippa's emotional changes. Her pretty face suddenly turned from sunny to cloudy, which made his heart skip a beat.
What did I do to offend her or upset her?
Could it be because when I walked towards her, I stepped with my right foot first instead of my left?
"Teacher, your blonde hair is really annoying."
Just as Leon was wondering, Philippa bluntly expressed her dislike.
“Miss Philippa, this…”
Blonde hair is annoying?
(T ^ T)
Well, it seems like you get criticized even if you do nothing.
Leon was on the verge of tears.
But it makes sense, vampires hate sunlight, and the golden hair on his head is so dazzling.
"Alright, it's not the teacher's fault, it was my fault for being ignorant. But—let's get rid of this annoying blonde hair."
Philippa chuckled with her head down, her pretty little fangs flashing slightly, giving Leon a creepy feeling.
Make the blonde hair disappear!
Damn it, is this guy trying to shave my head bald?!
Do not!
I do not want!
Leon was inwardly groaning, but he knew very well that he couldn't refuse Philippa's offer.
Then Leon heard Philippa rapidly chanting a spell in a strange language.
Although he didn't know what language it was, Leon guessed it was "Old Night Language" because its pronunciation was somewhat similar to Night Language. That is, the version of Night Language before it was simplified.
Ancient languages are generally more capable of touching the spirituality of the world.
After all, long ago, the spiritual energy in this world was not as scarce as it is now. At that time, almost everyone was a superhuman, and there were no ordinary people at all. Therefore, the language created by our ancestors was naturally for the purpose of better wielding superhuman power.
While Leon was wondering if Philippa was using ancient night language, she had already stopped chanting.
"Hmm, it looks much better now."
Philippa glanced at Leon, then narrowed her beautiful eyes slightly and smiled.
Does it look much better now?
I had no idea what she did.
Leon reached out and touched his hair, somewhat puzzled. His hair was still there; he hadn't gone bald.
"Teacher, please have a seat."
Philippa, seemingly oblivious to Leon's confusion, gestured for him to sit down.
"Thank you."
Leon gave a polite slight bow, then walked to the rectangular Western-style dining table and sat down on the opposite side, furthest from Philippa.
At this moment, when his gaze fell upon the porcelain vase on the table, Leon's doubts were finally answered.
His face was reflected on the smooth, white surface of the vase. Although it wasn't very clear, it was enough for Leon to see that his once brilliant blond hair had turned into charcoal-black hair.
So, Philippa dyed her hair... Such a highly effective hair dyeing magic, and it's all-natural and harmless, unlike chemical hair dyes which can damage hair. If this technology existed in modern times, many people would probably lose their jobs.
"Teacher, I'm very dissatisfied with you."
After Leon sat down, Philippa's sweet voice suddenly rang out, and judging from her expression, she seemed to be unhappy again.
"I'm sorry, Miss Philippa, what's wrong with me?"
Leon was puzzled.
Tsk, women are such a hassle.
Talking to women is so damn tiring.
Why did you wash off my kiss mark! Is it because it's on your face and makes you feel embarrassed?!
Philippa pouted and then made an extremely unreasonable statement in an indignant tone.
This……
Washing off the kiss mark won't work, right?
Leon was momentarily at a loss for words.
“Miss Philippa, I just think that beautiful things should be treasured, not shown off.”
After a slight hesitation, Leon explained.
"Treasured? Where did you treasure it?"
Philippa asked.
"here."
Leon pointed to his heart.
"Tsk, so glib."
Philippa looked dismissive, as if she wasn't buying into cheesy pickup lines.
“Mr. Daniel, are you that afraid of me? Why are you sitting so far away from me?”
After a second of silence, Philippa said with dissatisfaction.
"Of course I'm scared. My life is in your hands. I'm not afraid of you unless I can be fearless of death."
Leon said frankly.
"Don't worry, I'm not lying to you. If you behave well, you won't die."
Philippa was taken aback by Leon's bluntness. She paused for a moment, then smiled faintly before her pretty face suddenly tightened. "So, I now order you to sit next to me."
Uh……
The super invincible, supreme, domineering little rich girl, Blood Princess, right?
Leon muttered a helpless complaint in his mind, but still obediently got up and sat down next to Philippa.
At this moment, a group of vampires wearing chef's hats began serving dishes.
After the dishes were served, Leon felt a bit creeped out.
Because all the dishes on the table were a deep crimson.
If you sniff closely, you can even detect the unmasked stench of blood.
Among these dishes were bloody steaks, bread covered in blood plasma, and vegetables with glistening droplets of blood still dripping from their leaves…
How am I supposed to eat this...?
Leon swallowed hard.
Philippa noticed the changes in Leon's expression and had a wicked idea.
Chapter Thirteen: The Marquis
"Teacher, aren't you going to eat?"
Philippa gracefully cut off a small piece of steak, then used a smooth porcelain fork to pick it up and gently chewed it.
The bright red blood stained her already rosy lips, making them even more mesmerizing and stunning.
After swallowing the beef, she looked at Leon with a mischievous smile on her face.
"You are the host. If you don't start eating first, wouldn't it be a breach of etiquette for me, as a guest, to do so?"
Leon smiled slightly, trying to appear completely natural, and used his knife and fork to cut off a small piece of the bread. He then stuffed it, along with the blood on the bread, into his mouth.
Chewing on the bread, which was very soft, Leon did not taste its sweetness because of the blood on it; instead, he only tasted a fishy smell in his mouth.
Interesting, they really can endure it...
Philippa looked at Leon, who was behaving extremely naturally, and was slightly taken aback, then chuckled to herself.
"Teacher, the sticky stuff on these foods is human blood."
Philippa put down her knife and fork, rested her chin on her left hand, and stared at Leon with a charming smile in her eyes, her tone slightly provocative.
In reality, the food consisted of simple animal blood such as pig's blood and cow's blood. Philippa had never tasted human blood before, and she was simply trying to scare Leon.
She loved seeing Leon trembling with fear, ideally kneeling on the ground like a puppy, licking her toes as if he were licking his owner.
"Really? This is my first time trying it. Thank you for your hospitality, Miss Philippa."
But Philippa was disappointed.
Leon showed no fear whatsoever. Instead, he licked the blood-stained fork back to white, his face showing an expression of lingering enjoyment.
That girl is really wicked; she's trying to trick me.
Hehe, I'll just not do it!
Leon knew in his heart that the underage Philippa would not drink human blood, so the blood on the table in front of him was that of ordinary livestock.
For vampires, drinking human blood, especially dragon blood, is equivalent to breaking their vegetarian diet, while drinking the blood of ordinary animals is equivalent to eating vegetarian food, which is similar to the monks on Earth who only eat vegetables and not meat.
But that was ancient times. Now, to be a monk on Earth, you need at least a bachelor's degree. Not only can you eat meat, but you can also get married and… cough cough, Amitabha.
Uh, this...
Philippa didn't see the way Leon expected, and immediately felt a bit disappointed.
However, her beautiful red eyes flickered slightly, and she quickly regained her composure.
