Chapter 291 Harry's Thoughts
"Did something like that just happen?" Ron rested his head on his hand, raised an eyebrow at Harry, and said, "Looks like they really don't get along."
"Professor Rozier is a bit too harsh," Harry muttered. "Professor Hamilton hasn't done anything wrong."
"That does sound true—" Ron shrugged. "And if I were her, I'd probably watch you guys finish fighting, right?"
"After all, this is the first time I've ever seen wizards fight with their fists."
"This shouldn't be the first time, right?" Harry shrugged. "Have you forgotten your dad and Malfoy's dad?"
"Oh, I almost forgot." Ron shrugged. This happened during the holidays before the start of second grade, when Mr. Weasley and Mr. Malfoy got into a fight in the bookstore.
"Then I should say it's the first time I've seen wizards duel with their fists in the water." He nodded quite seriously.
"But surprisingly, she didn't criticize you." Ron shrugged. "If you ask me, Professor Rozier might not be so bad."
"But she reprimanded Professor Hamilton for no reason," Harry muttered discontentedly. "According to the rules, Professor Hamilton's behavior was perfectly reasonable."
"You're right," Ron nodded again. "After all, we all know Professor Rozier's attitude towards Professor Hamilton."
"Why do they get along so badly—" Ron said, glancing at Hermione, who had been silent the whole time. "Hey! Hermione!"
"Why aren't you saying a word?" he said, glancing slightly to the side. "Aren't you the one who admires Professor Hamilton the most?"
"Ah—" Hermione seemed startled by his sudden call. She shuddered and said, "You—what did you say?"
"What are you doing?" Ron frowned and shook his head. "We're discussing Professor Hamilton and Professor Rozier."
"What's wrong with you lately? You seem a bit absent-minded."
Does she have it?
Harry hadn't noticed at all; he scratched his head and looked at Hermione.
"I—" Hermione paused for a few seconds, then finally sighed, "This matter is also related to Professor Hamilton."
As she spoke, she recounted what had happened that day.
"What?!" Ron reacted the most, slamming his hand on the table and standing up, saying, "You mean you have someone you can do whatever you want—"
"Keep your voice down!" Hermione reached out and covered Ron's mouth. "This can't be told to anyone!"
"And I returned that thing to Professor McGonagall," Hermione explained quietly, "so it's not with me!"
"Waaaaah."
Seeing that Ron seemed to have calmed down, Hermione slowly released her grip.
"Why didn't you tell us before?" Ron said, dissatisfied. "Are we really that untrustworthy?"
"That's what Professor McGonagall said," Hermione said, shaking her head helplessly.
"Why didn't you tell us then?" Ron still seemed dissatisfied. "Didn't you already return it to Professor McGonagall?"
"This isn't because of Professor Hamilton—" Hermione paused, then said, "Anyway, don't tell anyone else about this."
Ron and Harry exchanged a glance and then nodded.
"But you're really something," Ron said after a moment's thought. "I've never seen Professor Hamilton angry before."
"Is that a compliment?" Hermione rolled her eyes. "But Professor Hamilton is right—misusing this stuff is dangerous."
She's even using that term to describe a time converter now.
"But Professor Hamilton knows about this?" Harry said curiously. "I've never heard of such a thing before."
"Perhaps it's because Durmstrang also had a time-twister?" Hermione guessed. "But that time-twister is said to have been lost."
"It even made it into the newspapers at the time," she said, shrugging before shifting the conversation to Professors Rozier and Hamilton.
"I think I know why Professor Rozier and Professor Hamilton don't get along," she said, pulling a newspaper from her pocket and slamming it on the table.
"Look," she said, pointing to the contents of the newspaper.
"Isn't this the newspaper from summer vacation?" Harry had read this newspaper many times, so he remembered this article very well.
The report mainly focuses on Professor Hamilton's life—such as her experiences at Durmstrang.
The text above states that Professor Hamilton was Durmstrang's most famous wizard, holding a position in the school comparable to Grindelwald's—she had hundreds of wizards under her command.
But what does this have to do with Professor Rozier?
"Don't just look at this report," Hermione said, pointing to a report in the corner of the newspaper, an analysis of Professor Hamilton's story by another reporter.
The report even included an interview with Headmaster Dumbledore—something Harry hadn't even noticed at the time.
"According to our inquiry with Headmaster Dumbledore, Miss Loila Hamilton fell unconscious after being attacked during the struggle against the Mublists."
"The Mughal Party?" Ron muttered. "Isn't that Grindelwald's—"
"They're Grindelwald's Death Eaters." Hermione nodded. "And do you know who Grindelwald's second-in-command is?"
"Vida Rozier," Hermione said slowly.
"Rosier?!" Harry immediately grasped the key point: "You mean, Professor Hamilton and Professor Rosier's family were once—enemies?"
"That's right." Hermione nodded and whispered, "Professor Rozier might still be a member of the Vicious Party."
"After all, the Witchcraft Party is like the Death Eaters; many of its members are formidable pure-blood wizards." Hermione said, glancing around to make sure no one was eavesdropping before continuing, "So many people haven't been put on trial."
"How do you know all this?" Ron's eyes widened. "My dad never mentioned any of this—"
"I heard it from Luna." Hermione pursed her lips a little shyly, as if she knew that this meant the source of the story might not be true.
So she added, "But I think Luna makes a lot of sense."
Harry nodded slightly. "I think that makes a lot of sense too—because it explains why Professor Rozier and Professor Hamilton don't get along."
"Because they were once enemies."
Ron frowned and said, "Isn't that very dangerous?"
"If Professor Hamilton and Professor Rozier were to fight—"
"Professor Hamilton probably didn't have that idea," Harry said after thinking for a moment. "He didn't say a word just now."
"Maybe Professor Hamilton is already preparing to use the Death Curse—" Ron's mutterings drew disapproving glances from the two.
"I was just joking—"
Hearing his mutterings, Hermione shook her head and said, "Actually, we should be more worried about whether Professor Rozier will do something to Professor Hamilton."
"But with Headmaster Dumbledore here—there shouldn't be any problems."
Ron's lips twitched slightly: "I don't know why, but now whenever I hear that sentence, I feel like something bad is going to happen."
"Me too," Harry nodded.
